IHSH-311-GRN - Ultra Heavy Flannel Western Shirt - Tartan Check - Green
-
Maybe someone with a 239 can chime in. That was UHF and herringbone. Still bummed I overlooked it because I already have a plain flannel with the 156. That solid black would have been a good goes with everything flannel.
Back to this herringbone, pictures do it justice of sorts. This shirt is blowing me away, this shade of green….it’s exactly what I was hoping it would be. Just perfect! The red stripe is a nice deep red and what looks yellow is more a gold. Couldn’t be more pleased!

Maybe has something to do with the weave being a herringbone?
The IHSH-70 was not UHF, but was herringbone and was crazy soft, (as has been mentioned today on its thread). You could be on to something there.
All about brushing, @misfitlife and @neph93 . That is why the 70 is so soft, and it says on the product page that this one is single-brushed on the exterior. I think that is normally the case for UHF (single exterior, double interior brushing) but maybe they used a different brush or did it more aggressively in this case.

I do like an aggressive brushing.

I think it's fair to say I'm loving this shirt, might have shot to the top (sorry IHSH-260 PPL :D). It's easily the most symmetrical UHF I have, which is funny to me with such a busy pattern.
Fabric is absolutely bonkers and as @misfitlife mentioned, the green really pops and the red stripe seals the deal. Congrats to anyone that snagged this or the work version!

My apologies, didn't realize I had a long crop setting clicked on my phone ::)

@Joberwocky nailed it. looks great

@vaquero357 @Joberwocky both killing it, shirt looks so good on both of you!

…I agree! Looks great!

Thanks guys!
@Jordonf9 those MOP snaps look great, I keep waffling on pimping the snaps when I buy a UHF but I typically love the black snaps. That and I think the GAH cat's eye button has been out of stock -
I really hope IH decides to add a pen pocket feature to the Westerns in the future. That would be incredible. I've been debating taking it to get altered locally….
I would do ut if you want one, no plans for us to do so….Sorry.
Wow, great! I'll take you up on that next time. Received mine already, it's amazing.

@neph93 no, I haven‘t. I do have the 277 work shirt but that‘s no UHF (still a very beautiful shirt). Somehow I prefer the chest pocket design in the western version a little more although the less fitted shape of the work shirts would probably suit the less fitted shape of my body better.

Same. I like the bells and whistles of the western buy the simple design of the work shirts suits me better, especially when the patter of the UHF’s gets busy.

I’m a bit late posting this….
I sized wrong on my 311, I went with my normal XXXL and asked for the closest to the published measurements and that’s exactly what I got...thank you again @Jack...it was slightly bigger than listed, perfect! Hot wash and all good. It’s still to big,
(not wanting to wash the hell out of it straight away to try and shrink it more, and personal preference is to always hang dry, I managed to grab the last XXL and that transaction needs a huge shout out!
@Graham and @Jack, you guys are without a doubt amazing, I chatted with Graham on the website (in the morning my time, east coast USA) and asked for measurements on the last XXL, he politely informed me that he’d be happy to but it would most likely be Monday as they were slammed with orders from the release of the Purpatrator. He suggested I put in the order to make sure I had it secured and they’d email me measurements before shipping. Did that, put a note in the comments and all is well. Fingers crossed she measures in my favor.
I wasn’t paying attention to my emails so at around 12:30pm here, 5:30pm UK I see an email from Jack, he’s already measured it for me and is asking if the numbers work, shit! So I call not actually thinking that it’s 5:30 there and Graham answers the phone. On a crazy AF day, I’m sure, at the dying hour he answers the phone. Dudes you go above and beyond. I tell him we chatted in the morning and he remembers and just provides me the most beyond measure customer service. Thank you Sirs, I received my shirt in record time as always and at a very busy time for you. Badass!
P.S. @Graham, dude it fits perfect!

My resolve to not buy any more shirts failed. Big thanks to the crew for being amazing as always
