So these are def killing it with the pearl snaps! My new fav purple shirt. Only have two UHF…but still! It came in perfect time, because tomorrow is our engagement photos and this will be one of the IH shirts I'm wearing

That bias tape is not present on the western. It's just like a normal IH western UHF.

All UHF work shirts have that taping. UHF westerns don’t. It has to do with garment engineering I think.
The button holes on work shirts either weaken the fabric to a degree that requires reinforcement, or the snaps on the western tolerate a folded hem, providing strength for the snaps. I’m not sure which.
The heavy denim CPO’s have taping too.. probably due to the weight of the fabric and/or size of the snaps.

When I got my shirt, I washed it on the delicate cycle at 30 deg. Here are the results of washing and then wearing it. Size is Medium. Note that the sleeve shortens when worn due to creasing.
New –> Wash --> Worn
Length: 74.0 --> 72.25 --> 72.25
Sleeve: 66.0 --> 65.50 --> 64.75
Shoulder: 43.5 --> 43.50 --> 43.50
P2P: 54.0 --> 53.00 --> 54.00
Waist: 51.0 --> 50.50 --> 51.00
Opening: 52.0 --> 51.00 --> 52.00
