It is going slow and steady. I’m currently performing support and supply for the two guys working on the facade/cladding. Basically clearing up crap, driving it to the dump and picking up new materials. No point taking pictures as the scaffold is hiding the new cladding and windows. I’ll update next week.

Me and my boys cleaned up the cellar ready for the next stage, but I’ll need to give it a few days with a building fan and de-humidifier to get some of the damp out of the walls.
It looks kind of cool when it is all tidy.

Looking good!  And you’re moving in the right direction, that’s the most important part.

Couple of milestones… the cladding on the biggest wall is finished and the new windows installed.

I celebrated by doing the interior of the first window. This price of timber is insane at the moment so what your looking at added about 200USD to the price of 800USD windows. I measured everything nine times [emoji1]

«Finished» was possibly an exaggeration [emoji1] The drainpipe will be replaced, the cladding painted, and trimmed and the foundation wall under it plastered. But the windows are in and the wall is sealed which is a big deal, I promise.

Yes indeed. I was almost sad to see that wood taken out, but I’ve taken care of it and will be using it as material in other parts of the house. 80 year old timber and still dry and strong…

My guys are a bit annoyed at having to work in the rain. They opened up a wall on Friday, and didn’t realise how much would have to be done… so they’re here today as well the poor buggers.

Thanks for you interest! There is progress on a number of fronts…

We got our TV bench finished (and had to buy a new TV to go on it…)

All windows and external doors have been changed…

And I anticipate the boarding will be finished before xmas.

I’m working away in the cellar, and hope that two bedrooms and the man cave will be fully operational before xmas too.

To much progress to document really… but here’s today’s job. We’ve extended the entré by a couple of square meters and I’ve built up the floor with impregnated chipboard and master board. The sparky was here on Friday so today I covered his heating cables to make ready for tiling next week.
