IH-101J-SR - 18oz Selvedge Denim Storm Rider Jacket - Indigo

Perfect fits so far.
I have a vintage SR but this thing won't leave my head, even though I rarely wear denim outerwear. True to forum enabler form, you folks are not helping.

@Anesthetist the Shoulders are fitted but not tight. Feels good buttoned up. With an UHF it is a little tight in the Armholes area.. I’ve planned it to wear it with an T and Henley and that is fine and comfortable

…@thomas01 looks spot on me boy!

Exactly how mine fits as well. After a few wears the shoulder/ armhole does relax just a hair, so there’s that to look forward to [emoji106]

The armholes in mine started a tick tight but they loosened up. Looks great @thomas01

Just got surprised by one of these under the xmas tree this morning. Wife grabbed me the indigo buffalo check and then saw this jacket drop in an email blast and decided I had to get this as well. Shoutout to Alex, who she tells me helped her out a lot with sizing and gave her an extremely generous/nice try on logistics for me between L and XL.
My sizing decision is that the XL/42 is the right size for this, since I'm going to want to wear this over UHFs and sweaters as a more common coldish-weather jacket. I could tell within a few flexings of the elbow that the extra length in the sleeves would go away a bit as they crease. I'm a large in IHSH models, though those are just over t-shirts so it's not apples to apples.
Wife (who is a vintage enthusiast) said after she finally saw all the stuff IH made she totally understands why I'm obsessed and have so many pieces now.

You have a good one there (jacket and Wife)! Lets see some pics!
Christmas started off very warm and humid but then the wind picked up and it feels like winter again.

Pic with my new IHSH Indigo Buffalo check under it. Obviously you can see the arms are bulky and a hair long, but the rest of the body is exactly the fit I want/need. This is specifically going to be my daily winter coat, so I wanted that bulkier less fitted look.

Looks like an A+ fit to me.

Looks great on you, your wife did well [emoji1]

Great fit, glad you're happy. Was a pleasure to speak to your wife and help her with the purchase for you - glad it all worked out.

Got it on the higher size specifically to be a winter jacket for snowy situations. It's fantastic for this, and so warm.
-
It doesnt look oversized at all either. Best of both worlds!

Really think you nailed the sizing @Anesthetist –the fit looks great and it will only improve as the denim softens... This such an epic jacket.

Thank you, I am finally feeling like the jacket isn’t wearing me. I had a good 4 hours working outside with it yesterday and already little pops of blue are showing up. I am really hoping to be able to wear it well into the spring.
