Jacques Marie Mage (JMM) - Sunglasses and Frames…
-
So while visiting Boston last week I may have grabbed a pair of JMM Molino 55’s…… I’m very excited about these. I’ve had ditas for the last 8 years and it’s going to be nice to try something different.
I’ll grab some pics when they come in.

Me too!!! Recent posts on this thread got me started then I dove deep into research mode. I pulled the trigger on two different models in the same color. Acknowledged, they are similar in shape. Trying to decide which one to keep, keep both and convert one to optical, buy a third pair with completely different shape, etc. Opinions welcomed.
Fellini
Molino (thinking about converting these to optical)

Nice @Bums_Fan - i’m eyeing up a pair of Fellini shades too, or the Kaines
Out of the two on you definitely the Fellini

As sunnies , the Fenelli fall lower on your cheek bones, which you will prefer I bet.
Coverage is the game when it comes to tinted lenses.
I stole a pair of my wife’s “slim wayfarers” for a bit and could barely drive in them as the frames created worse blind spots than the A pillars did lol

Well that settles that - Fellini FTW! Appreciate all the feedback.
A few weeks ago, I didn't know I needed sunglasses. Thanks to this thread, now I'm rationalizing having multiple pairs. JMM are really impressive in person.

Funny story..
My boss who is about 15 years my senior, but very “hip,” pulled out some sunglasses in his car a few weeks ago and said “you think I can pull these off?”
Without hesitation, I said “are those Jacque’s??”
His reply was: “I don’t know what the fuck you said, but yeah, that’s what they are I think” lol [emoji23]
He was impressed I knew about them as he got them in Vail - I then proceeded to explain the forum to him and then tell a story of how I once again assisted Pierre in tricking the Norwegian duty officers into not taxing him hahaha
How everytime I have on something “different” he says - what brand is that? Learn about it in the forum?
Maybe I should get him some Iron Hearts lol [emoji23]
I would adore a pair, they are absolutely fantastic in person.

Y'all have gotten me eyeing (#puns) some JMM's for sunglasses. There is a local shop near me that carries a ton. Might pop in this week and try a bunch on and just see what happens.
I've got several pairs of Ray Bans, and a pair of Persol's and Warby Parker that I like, but could honestly just sell them all and have just one solid pair. I used to love my Wayfarers because they are a classic, and I had the pair for so long that it was mostly sentimental. My son broke that pair a couple months back, and I bought a new one of the exact model. Just doesn't feel the same or have the same connection.

I wish the 50mm Dealans were slightly less cat-eyed, because the notion of a pair of shades named for the Bard definitely resonates
I think I would opt for Fellini in Havana tortoise myself but I would want to try them on first.

Method behind the madness. My better half has a pair now… the Anita. Paves the way for future JMM purchases for me!

@Bums_Fan yep I played the same game with my better half, though she now knows how much they cost so it’s backfired somewhat
