Jacques Marie Mage (JMM) - Sunglasses and Frames…

I wish the 50mm Dealans were slightly less cat-eyed, because the notion of a pair of shades named for the Bard definitely resonates
I think I would opt for Fellini in Havana tortoise myself but I would want to try them on first.

Method behind the madness. My better half has a pair now… the Anita. Paves the way for future JMM purchases for me!

@Bums_Fan yep I played the same game with my better half, though she now knows how much they cost so it’s backfired somewhat

Those look very nice!

I like them @sabergirl
So, I drove over to the JMM retailer in St Louis and tried a few on. The saleswoman told me Christmas cleaned them out but they had 3 pair come in today and now they have one less in stock. I ended up with the Julien in tortoiseshell and I’m really stoked about them.

damnit to hell you guys are killing me. killing me!
I need new suns anyway.Ann & Matt they look real good.
Awesome close up of you Ann, if I may be so bold. -
Nice pick and fit @Anesthetist !
It all started when @Giles posted the secret Christmas gift for @Madame Buttonfly … now look at what has happened

Well-played, @Anesthetist
Believe the JMM hype. They are clearly different in pictures and they more than stand up to it in the flesh. I was reading up on them (they have great intel on their site) and the acetate factory they use is the only one making acetate blocks that thick (presumably because they take weeks to cure at that thickness) which I think is why some of the designs are so novel. There are practical benefits to the thickness in terms of durability and you can refinish them endlessly. If you can manage not to lose your pair, it is an heirloom piece. I also think the designs, details, and build quality are unmatched.
I got Walker in tortoise. I wanted a tortoise colorway and the gold innards to be inside the tortoise (other models expose the gold innards of the earpieces through clear acetate, which looks awesome but is too blingy for me) and if felt and looked best of those options.

They look good on you MCL, and that hardware is stunning [emoji44]

My Molino’s get delivered tomorrow took a week to get the Rx done.
I’m already thinking on the next pair. I’m sure I’ll need some sunglasses, maybe Torino’s

Just a comparison between my Moscot Lemtosh and my Juliens…
-
damn you all. my wallet hates you. I'm planning on going to my local JMM dealer this coming week or next.
-
You will not be disappointed when you see them in person!

Beautiful! Both mclaincausey and Anesthetist looks like good choices that fit your faces very well. You’re not helping with my quest to try not to buy some though, lol. I appreciate the kind words on the imitations that I’ve gotten, y’all—and they are pretty good for now.

You won't be disappointed @chrisjohnnick JMMs are … amazing. The photos that @Anesthetist shared really illustrate just how overbuilt and substantial JMM products are. I just love mine:
