IH-526J-22OD - 22oz Selvedge Denim Type III Jacket - Indigo Overdyed Black

Or a sophisticated monocle

Thinking of getting an L. If the opening, at 18.3, is smaller than the opening on a M Storm Rider, which is 19.7 (and that is snug when the bottom button is done up), is this mitigated by this in L being 1.4 inches shorter than the SR…….? Sorry to sound a pedant. Cheers.

Sorry to sound a pedant.
Not at all, that is a very pertinent question and absolutely one of the things this place is for.
That being said I’m finding it difficult to answer as I don’t have a storm rider. Best guess is that yes it will make a positive difference, but that will also depend on body shape to a degree.
The IH-526-22OD is a traditonal cut so is intended to be worn higher on the body and arguably closer to the body than the lined, modified storm rider.

Thanks @neph93. It’s either this or a Duck Type III…….

@neph93 love your jacket, can’t wait to start the Y3 invitational with mine (pictures coming soon). If you don’t mind me asking, how did you change your button on the left flap? I got some pins ready to be adorned, but also interested to see if I can change the buttons with something else
Cheers

Of course I don’t mind. Sharing info on the good stuff is why we’re here [emoji3526]
The button hasn’t been changed. It is a Good Art Boutonnière. They clip on to buttonholes as a faux button.

Good luck with Y3

Been rockin the 22OD since beginning of March, and i must say it’s a beast of a jacket! Can’t wait to evolve this piece in the long run.
Here’s my previous jacket that I’m going to be semi-retiring: https://imgur.com/a/rYNctl5/
I picked up a GH large rosette boutonniere from a member here and had a question for those that run boutonnieres. Wondering if it’s suppose to be off center? See pics below; the boutonniere does not fit over the button exactly. Am i suppose to bend it, or does one have to secure it with thread?

They aren't intended to be used like that. They're designed to be put in the empty buttonhole. Great jacket!

Ahhhhh, that makes more sense duh! In that case, it fits beautifully with the jacket. Waiting for some King Crimson pins to switch it up, but otherwise I’m ready to rock this bulletproof jacket

I have the indigo 22oz 526 jacket
you will be surprised how soft it will be after some wearing
if you really want it bullit proof than take the 19oz lefty , that thing is out of this world -

Not much wear as it’s been quite warm. Tried wearing as much possible when temps are cool. Arm honeycombs setting in nicely, finalized on pins placement!

I sent this and my IH-101J to @JoshC at IHUK for repairs to the elbows. Very happy with how they turned out!

Any restock in the works for this jacket?
