-
Here's how my combs are from the rain today.
-
Looking good there Mike. What size tou went with on thise 19L's
-
They are a 36
-
First sign of evolution of my FGL-19L
Also some belt evo too
-
I was at the bar earlier and put down several large beers… I came home, took off my 805's and put on my FGL's
-
Here's what the combs look like on the FGL'S now
-
They are starting Mike. Those 19L's start a bit stubborn in the beginning but once they get going it will go pretty fast. How you like them so far. Did they start to soften up a bit?
-
The hand has definitely softened up a lot. I hope they remain stiff because I love this. They don't seem to be too stubborn because I haven't worn them very much but they have signs of fading all over. I like them a lot.
-
I noticed today (even in the extreme humidity, which usually makes denim perceived to have a more rough hand) the denim has lost its roughness and is now super soft on the reverse. They still have retained their amazing rigidity. I am very impressed by this denim. I can't tell you how much I appreciate these guys.
-
Mike from my experience altough the denim will soften it still feels heavy. Mime softened up at the friction areas but still very rigit at the low friction areas. Also the softness is not 21oz kinda of softness, but more leathery feel to it. Its a great denim and its character reveals slowly.
-
Yeah I like that leathery feeling. We need to create some new terminology to describe IH denim. Leathery, suedey, extreme density, velvety, you name it.
-
Lol. You nailed it. Thats exectly the hand on this denim.
-
I'm getting some fades popping through on my honeycombs… Thought you might like. They are quite ripe from wearing a lot so I'm giving them a breather. For a day. I'll probably resume wearing on Monday.
634-21L are the pants I have on.
-
@Filthy theyre looking sweet my dude
-
Thanks guys
I'm back in the FGLs today. I gave them a spritz of isopropyl, let them dry and then and then a liberal douse of Railcar denim spray…
They no longer stink. This stuff works really well. I recommend it. -
Using some redneck engineering to hot soak my babies… I don't want to ruin the patch in the hot water. I have a thin piece of plywood underneath to keep it above the laundry tub. And a piece of lathe through the patch and belt loops.
-
Very good
