IHSH-337-GRN - Ultra Heavy Flannel Tartan Check Western Shirt - Green

Really well said @Pete ! I am also a big UES fan and have a few flannels and other items. I love them. I would agree with your assessment also that IH is a step above though. It is like many other well made things, they are both high quality, but one takes it a step further.

I, too, am a UES fan and own a couple of their flannels. However, I really liked the colorway of this particular IH flannel and noticed that Dutil had it on sale last week. So I went ahead and took the plunge and… wow, I'm kind of mad at myself for not doing so earlier. I really like the Western details (pockets, yoke, and snaps) and my wife seems to think that the yoke makes my shoulders appear broader. The soft, heavily brushed inside of the material is also superior in feel to any other flannel I've ever worn. My only complaint is that the sleeves run long (for me), and that problem is easily solved by turning up the cuffs and snapping them into place.
I'm now officially a fan and will be copping another Western UHF later this year, after the fall/winter models drop.

Interesting to hear… TFH are back making flannels again (which is great), but in their absence I've noticed UES getting a lot of praise. I´ll be interested to read more comparisons with Uhf´s.

I own 2 Ues Flannels. I would say they are very good. But IH UHF's are special because of their unique Material, construction and not least the deep impressive and diverse colours. If I put UES besides IH UHF then you see brighter and deeper colours. My humble opinion. IH is more addicting than other brands :o

Hey there fellas. I had a question for some of the long standing members or the staff. I have read the care guide for these UHF flannel shirts. Can anyone give me their two cents on keeping the brushed interior, well, brushed..?? I have a few of these shirts now but I guess I am more curious if the interior is prone to piling or matting down over time/use/ and washing. Thoughts?

It will become less fuzzy but won’t pill. Pilling generally occurs with synthetic fabrics. They are so strong that the pills don’t break off.

Thankfully, I'm too fat to fit into TFH's flannels, so I won't be able to pay the money to compare them to the UHFs.

Great shirt. I am really happy with it. Just for info: I am 185 cm, 83 kg, wearing size L

@SKT yeah, I think it fits quite well and I am really impressed. It is my second Iron Heart UHF shirt and I am more than hooked. Already planning my next purchase - the 18oz overdyed indigo CPO shirt….

Yeah, it is becoming quite addictive…and dangerous for my wallet

@Matt haha, good one!
My wishlist of Iron Heart stuff is long enough already, so please don‘t make it longer. My wife will kill me. -
That sounds scary But I think I am ready haha
