IH-526V-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Type III Vest - Indigo

@neph93 What do you think of the fit? I think an XL would probably fit me better (this is a XXL), but it would lose the layering functionality. When I put it on with just a t-shirt, it feels like I'm a small turtle moving around in a larger turtles shell. It's partly due to the stiffness of the product, and also the boxy nature of the cut. I keep second guessing my purchased size over and over again.

If worn over t shirt go for a true size but if a over hoodie size up….

@Kasi so what I'm hearing is that its perfectly suitable to own both sizes for both scenario's? I'll see what the wife (who doesn't like $400 vest #1), thinks about $400 vest #2.
Wish me luck!!!

Haha, good luck! I own a few vests in two sizes. They hang over each other on the hanger, I wash my own clothes, and almost certainly forgot to tell the wife about doubling up [emoji1]
I really like the vest over hoodie thing you do here a lot so you’re good for that, but in my experience different sizes for layering, while an expensive luxury, is the only way forward. I have an IHV-21 (lined 18oz denim, collarless typeIII) in XL that I use over hoodies and flannels, but I lack a sized down denim trucker to wear over a tee. I’ve asked Graham to try a few sizes of this vest for me to work out which is best.

I have two both same size the reason for that is I will hammer the hell out the one I wear in all weather and other for later use. The photo is pimp with GAH SNAPS still raw and stiff how I want it to be still. Water soaks maybe later to early yet.

@Kasi That vest is amazing and those pimped buttons are incredible.
Question, you had them install one button on the "inside" of the second to top button rendering it unusable?

@neph93 Let me Play devil's advocate here. I don't wear any other vest as much as the duck vest. It's just so versatile in terms of weight and colour. The suberblack sometimes is too heavy / warm and Indigo/Indigo is sometimes not my kind of style.

I have both 21oz super black and the 25oz indigo, the indigo 25oz is killer of them all.

The IH-2526V is in many ways the best choice. Versatile, a good fabric and weight for summer and IH duck is sublime. The problem is I’m concerned that the L will be too small. The IH-526V-XHS is just awesome because it is XHS and a vest but probably isn’t what I need really. The IH-9526V will get used a lot for sure and the measurements look perfect, but I have the IHV-24. It’s a bit of a first world problem, but I can’t make my mind up…
