IHJ-65 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Mountain Parka

it probably has a lot of southern influence. definitely worth checking out if you're in melbourne. i based it off a place in perth while searching for barbecued rib places. (because whatever perth has, it probably came from melbourne)

OK, here's a shot of the parka. I haven't got around to doing a full fit-pic yet.
It's a beast of a coat, being made from the 21 oz denim. It's stiffer and heavier than an M-65. @AdamJ reckons it's probably a bit warmer than one of those.
The pockets can hold a lot. I was carrying my camera in one, and a 500 ml water bottle in the other. The slotted buttons, which are sewn on with a tape, shouldn't come loose.
I particularly like the pale blue chambray lining, which gives a bit of a colour flip.
If you're an XL or XXL, you should probably buy one.

Whats up friends. I put that Denim Parka where it belongs, in the mountains. I Just got the jacket and i love it. It is a bulletproof suit of denim armor, perfect for the snow and trees. It really act as a denim shell. You can layer it according to the weather. I'm going to beat the hell out of it.

Great post @Big Jeans , looks like you are putting that parka through its paces.

I've been wearing my IHJ-65 a lot recently.
It's layered with an IHV-24 in this shot, as Melbourne was going through a bit of a cold snap earlier in the week. Normally it's warm enough over a t-shirt and light sweater down to 10°C.
The denim is surprisingly water resistant. It takes over half an hour, possibly even an hour, for it to soak through.
It is still pretty stiff, which makes the hood particularly annoying, as it doesn't really sit flat. I'm hoping that it'll soften up before too long.

What a cool piece … I had no idea!
