I might have to revisit the 526OD at some point. It's on my list, but I love my 526L
Well, got my iB in today….and I must say my fingers almost broke cuz of the damn button fly! HOLY HELL! Had UHR, 25oz OD...but this was a true torture....but all worth it as they fit beautifully. I am going to wear them for a bit before I do a first soak, just my ways of doing things. Besides the 25oz OD, which I sadly haven't worn in a year.... this is my only other 25oz and I must say, I can already feel that this is going to break in beautifully soft after hard wear.
This is an insane piece of denim, love it.
P.S. @joephoto I agree, but the 18oz OD 526 is the best

Ok, thanks Filthy 1/2" might be great, might try to push it to 1" with hot drying just the legs down the road.

These are sitting at my house now! If I can remember I’ll do pre/post soak measurements tonight.

If you can I'll be eternally grateful… @Matty123 did a good job of documenting the samples on his thread but the more info the better. I have the price of these jeans invested in the shrinkage as I've sized down and most of the measurements will work before and after some shrinkage, the waist however is going to be scary…
-
I can also say wearing these unwashed, as I stretched to break them in a little, I can tell there is a fair amount of stretch to this denim. If I can find my tape later, I will take measurements later.

Since you brought this up, I've never really understood statements like "We'll never run this fabric again" or the one you just made. Why is it that certain fabrics can't be made or purchased again? Cost prohibitive? Or more of a desire to change things up?
Because we're girly; just can't make up our minds but also reserve the right to do U-turns and be fickle….

Wearing them now. Legit sweating trying to button them, I always thought the whole sore thumb thing was overstated. Not the case.
Also as I wear them right now I have The Fear. I feel like if I soak them I won't be able to put them on, and that they'll never actually be comfortable to sit and let alone walk in. I know this is BS of course, and every thing that I've had that needed to be broken in felt this way at first. Still gonna do a warm soak but will be more careful with them and will carve out a good half hour to put them on post-soak.
Presoak measurements:
Waist - 34.5"
Thigh - 13.5"
Opening - 8"
Inseam - 33" (I had them hemmed, because I'm reckless and like to prevent waffling) -
I’ve hot washed and dried mine, and they were a little snug to get on,but stretched back out really quickly. I cheated and used a needle nose plier to loosen up the button holes, and they shrunk back, but are now manageable again. I had mine hemmed to 33 also, but haven’t measured.

Nice! I can't believe you have that much self control not to at least open them up.

She sounds like such a great wife.

Still a bit damp this morning, leaning against the washer but supporting their own weight. Will try to get them on when I get home. Early post soak measurements:
Waist - 34.2”
Thigh - 13.2”
Hem - 8”
Inseam - 32.4”Lost about 1/4” in most places an 1/2” in the inseam. Should be able to get them on but we’ll see. Removed leather patch like usual.
