IHSH-216-NAV - Heavy Moleskin CPO Shirt - Navy

An awesome picture of peepaw over at Snake Oil in this bad boy.
Next to IH, SOP always does a great job with fit pics IMO. Gives a great idea what the product will look like in the wild.
Peepaw is selling these things like hotcakes btw…already sold out in most sizes. This is a great fabric...I had last years version but had to send it back as the fit was a bit too snug in my usual XL IIRC.

Hey all - quick question on the fabric; is this more of a 'rigid' type with soft face, or is it more of a softer, flexible, chamois-like moleskin?
Edit: I'll add for clarity that most of the Japanese and Italian sourced moleskins I have experienced are the former, but British moleskin ala brisbane moss is the latter.

Why is he called PeePaw?

@gaseousclay I know it means grandfather in the south. Not sure how he acquired that moniker, though.
-
@DigitalPopsicle I'd say it's more of the former than the latter going by last year's model.

I believe he is originally from the south somewhere too but don't quote me on that. I do know he relocated to Long Beach to open up SOP though and I'm almost certain he's from a southern state originally.

He still looks a touch young to be a grandpa, but I could be wrong- you know how those Southerners are.

It's like Hispanic families where you can be an uncle when you're 5 years old. My girlfriend was an aunt when she was 6.

My shirt came today, and I genuinely had no idea as to what to expect from the fabric. Definitely one of my ongoing IH Holy Shit moments. I’m not sure if it’s as heavy as my 177/18oz denim CPO, but it’s definitely close. I think it’s going to look great with everything. I’ll try and get some pics up tomorrow.

When this first was announced, I was definitely on the fence since I own the one from last year. I thought I had too many blue shirts and enough moleskine to go around; however, love last year's model so much, I decided to pick this one up as well. Boy, am I glad I did. It has a really sharp and sophisticated look. The material is awesome as to be expected with anything made from Iron Heart. If you all have the chance to pick this up, I wouldn't pass the opportunity up. I included last year's moleskine just so you can see the evolution.

Today, actually. I noticed several food stains.
Washed it on cold. Didn't notice any shrinkage.

Another awesome picture of the CPO.

That pic makes me want to stop being on the fence and size up, and layer that ish! So nice

Agreed. I thought I had already acquired all I would for this season, but this one keeps beckoning me. I would certainly be sizing up, if I take the plunge.

I um’ed and ah’ed over the Large I bought in this shirt, but the fit is just not right and I should’ve gone for the XL, which are unfortunately sold out now. If it had fit, this may have been my favourite IH shirt that I own, and I spent ages trying to convince myself it fit. If mine fitted any near as well as @Wlemon ‘s i would have been very happy indeed. Will try to get an XL from R&H.

My shirt arrived today. There are white lines and spots in various locations.
The photo below shows the back of the shirt. White lines corresponding to the placket location are clearly visible. These are visible in other non-pictured locations as well.
Is this expected? Was it due to these being washed hard at the factory and therefore permanent? Or is it possible to make them go away?
