My pleasure. Jacket looks great on you btw, and the nice thing about the extra investment in the indigo version is that it will keep getting better and better.

Great fit and an excellent choice. This winter I upgraded from a Buzz Rickson N-1 to an IH version and as much as I like my Buzz there’s no comparison.

Great fit @Lowlander.Might I ask your height and weight? I just ordered a small via a stockist and am hoping the sizing works out. I am a small in most IH shirts.

Good to hear. I was on the fence between the two amd opted for the IH because I haven’t been let down yet. You and I appear to be in the same traffic flow and I suspect there will be plenty more days to wear it.

I'm about 6 feet tall and weigh some 136 lbs. I've tried IH shirts in sizes S and XS but unfortunately had to return both of them because they were too baggy for me still, esp. round the back.
For shirting, I've recently discovered UES, another Japanese high quality work clothes brand. Doesn't quite compare to IH, but still their stuff is really nice too. Their shirts are generally fitted quite slimly, which is great for skinny guys like me.

Hope that size S turns out good for you, @Bfd70!
I tried the IHM-24 in size S. The lenth of the jacket and the sleeve lenght were perfect, but otherwise it was too bulky for me. If your shoulder, chest, and hip sizes are a bit more substantial than mine, I guess you should be fine!
(Incidentally, when I ordered, I heard from Graham that most of the IH crew size down from their normal shirt size for these deck jackets…) -
Absolutely spot on @Lowlander Love it!

Cheers, Graham!

@cj:
Very nice. I wonder whether it will bleed a lot or not
I’ve only had it a couple of days but there’s been no noticeable bleeding so far. It’s an even indigo dye which looks excellent in my opinion. Matches really well with any indigo jeans.
Just an update. I’ve worn the jacket fairly regularly over the winter months and there’s a nice amount of bleeding from indigo to white to areas where there’s been a bit of friction. I’ll try and take some photos.

Stunning N1 @Michael1984 ! Can’t believe yours started out like the one pictured in the shop. How long did it take you to fade it? Did it start out as dark as the one pictured in the shop or did you get a lighter one to begin with.
Also, your pic shows the collar as grey (on my screen), while the shop pics show a light brown collar.Beautiful jacket

Hi,
Thanks for the kind comments. I’ve had the jacket since early November 2018. It probably took a few months to show significant bleeding of the indigo dye on areas where there was day to day friction which looks quite nice at the moment. Regarding the photos how they look mainly depends on the lighting. My photos were taken indoors in natural light with an iPhone whereas I’d imagine the product photos were probably taken with a full frame camera and a couple of high quality lights. The lighting obviously affects the perceived colour with any photo. The collar isn’t grey it’s still light brown and I don’t think it’s changed much over the last 5 months. It’s a very stylish jacket and if definitely recommend it. I think the way the indigo has bled adds to the uniqueness of the jacket. Could be worth picking up one now if you like it for autumn winter. I usually take a medium in most jackets but I’d size one down with this.

Quick question - at what temp would this jacket become too warm to wear?
I am debating purchasing one, but am on the fence about whether or not its going to be too warm.
Thanks
-
Of course or depends on your layering choices, but I stopped wearing mine when temperatures got above 13-15C / upper 50s F.
