Shipping During the Covid-19 Situation.

Thank you very much @EJS
UPS have now confirmed they are also doing the same…
Temporary Changes to Signature Required Packages
In the interest of employee and customer safety, consignees will temporarily not need to sign for signature required deliveries. Instead, our drivers will validate and write down the name of the consignee. When an adult signature is required by a shipper, our drivers will request to view a government-issued identification for proof of age upon delivery. -
i'm not sure if this counts as news or information but shipping to australia has been severely delayed. mine shows an estimate date of 2 weeks from today instead of the usual 3-4days normally.

i will keep track and keep this thread updated.
Currently as per UPS: Parcel shipped Monday 11th May; Scheduled delivery Thursday 28th May
i feel that a lot of the fulfillment of parcels currently shipped boils down to local provider restrictions (ie. the ability to cope with influx of parcels needed to be delivered) so, it may be quick for the package to travel the globe but once it is in the specific countries, local/ 3rd party (depending on arrangement) postal services might not be able to cope with the high demand they are currently facing.
for reference, australia post has stated they can no longer guarantee shipping times for express parcels, both domestic and international.

all parcels from UK to me in the past usually takes it from the UK -> Germany -> China (sometimes) -> Singapore then onwards to Perth, Australia.
However, this time it is rerouted west through Louisville, KY USA. I think that this is because some parcel hubs might be closed or overwhelmed during this current time. it has never done that before so this route is something new to me.

Parcel is already in Australia, over east in Sydney. Saw this on UPS page, so i'll just sit back and patiently wait.
just in case any of you are ordering from WA or TAS

Just to mention about shipping and different services, I have a package coming via Japan's EMS, posted on April 16th. This is usually a two or three day matter to New York. It's still in Tokyo. Shipping could be four months they are telling me. If you have something coming from Japan be sure to ask for another method of shipping other than EMS at the moment.

Parcels under UPS for Australia gets consigned to the local postal service (Startrack) depending on where you live as i just found out properly after calling when i couldn't see a delivery date on the tracking website.
Updated delivery was meant to be today, Friday 22nd May but due to overwhelming workload might get pushed back to Saturday or early next week
Looking forward to receive this.

Are your deliveries working? It's just that during the pandemic, many stores closed and closed any delivery routes. Now mostly food delivery works. Many clothing stores also of course provide delivery, but on the condition that the item is not subject to return. This is terrible. I once ordered a skirt, and it was too small for me, I couldn't return it to the store. Right now, most of my money is spent on buying N95 masks, antiseptics, and silicone gloves. I believe that at the moment these are essential things. I order N95 masks on Pandemic Pal every month.

I honestly can't believe people take the time to formulate a reply to or respond to spam stuff.
I see it all the time on Facebook and it's honestly quite a laugh.
