@Oaktavia Limenitis arthemis - Such a beautiful creature
@Oaktavia my wife took these pics this morning. I think it’s a lettered sphinx like you saw

Nice! They are pretty amazing creatures. I saw another one of those the other day too.
I didn’t want to get too close, but our office are swarming. My boss is getting ready to catch them.
More action!
@ARNC phew! Wild stuff man...made for an exciting Monday I bet.
@Oaktavia yes. I have a great view from my window (and can shut it if the bees get too angry)! Just waiting to see if my colleagues caught the queen.
@ARNC very cool!
@SKT it was definitely different, if a little distracting. My boss installed two hives in the office garden earlier this year!
Saw this guy in the back yard this morning. Don’t remember ever seeing one before. I believe it’s a Great Spangled Fritillary.
Not my picture but here’s one we have out here in the desert. The vinegaroon. Harmless to people unless you’re allergic to the concentrated vinegar it sprays out of its butt to repel predators…
@SKT it's always exciting to get a close photo with a butterfly or moth. Nice one!
We also have Jerusalem Crickets…
@Matt I’m going to make a prediction that I am wildly allergic to Vinegaroon butt spray. Will be watchful during next trip
The desert makes harsh critters
@Matt beautiful
@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot wow that think looks alien
