Bitch Please… FAKE Iron Heart?

@Alex said in Bitch Please… FAKE Iron Heart?:
too close to our nanny release for my liking
But the anny UHF looks eons better than this shitty imitation.
-
Idk, seems kind of shitty of Withered Fig to simultaneously sell that while collaborating with IH

I had to do a double take, but there are a number of distinguishing features in the shirt itself (single yoke, button flaps, pocket shapes, buttons not snaps) and in the colours used in the sax pattern (the UES one has no red or grey) when you look closely. Would require experienced IP counsel (which I am not) to advise on this one if IH was minded to make a big deal of it.
-
Again, this is at the periphery of what I do, but enforcing unregistered rights can be hard work. Even if IH won, I wonder if there would be any worthwhile remedies as the anny shirt has been and gone. It could be different if we were looking at a continuous production item. As it is, is there any real damage apart from @Alex being somewhat narked (important but maybe not worth the hassle/expense of going to war)?

We’re here to listen friend. Not really but saying that a lot has kept me married for 16 years so I figured it would work here too.
Also, the original design is from a long time ago so that 3 year statute probably would have expired.
Let’s just say imitation is the highest form of flattery.
-
Sorry if that has been done before and I’m not aware it’s a thing, but have you guys seen indigofera over dyed flannel that came out the other day? I instantly thought of IH one coming in the future.

i think this is a fake. i noticed the top zipper doesn't have the leather pull strip and the draw strings on the bottom dont look right. neither do the sleeve cuffs in the photos where they are turned inside out. ships from japan, link to the listing below. there are several identical listings from different sellers too.

I am pretty sure this is legit. There are quite a few sellers in Japan reselling the stuff on eBay. If I'm not mistaken, the pictures are taken straight off the IH Japan site: https://ironheart.shop-pro.jp/?pid=174961131

What also muddies the waters now is that a ton of Ebay accounts are basically just proxies for items listed for sale on the Japanese auction sites. You'll see 20 people list the same item for sale at a markup hoping that someone buys through them.
-
One of the main reasons I ask for individuals to post pictures of their actual items in the forum’s marketplace. You may think it’s a pain in the ass, but at least you know that what you’re buying is actually what you’re buying…
Too many people trying to make a quick buck out there now with all kinds of schemes going on. The secondary luxury watch market is nuts and probably goes for the rest of the luxury markets…

@tody ah yeah youre right. so i guess the japanese version is actually different from the western one.
-
@Giles im just noticing these slight details that seem to be different is all --
western:
jp:
i dont mean to say the actual piece is any different. this is what threw me off when trying to determine whether or not the ebay listing i was looking at was legit.
