Watches - another OCD problem

Now that’s a nice watch

So sexy. The lumerals, the big date (surprised its asymmetry doesn’t drive @Giles mad ), the restrained use of gold accents. A masterpiece.

I could cope

@Giles I like the date at 4 because you get the right side marker. I also like the lugs being squared off rather than running all the way to the bezel. Is there a more eloquent name for that design? Reminds me of a 62MAS but it has crown guards....and that subtle branding detail on the back of the second hand....
this wasn't on my radar, but it is now... -

I don't dislike it because it is parallel with the 9-3 axis, I don't like a date at 4 when it is parallel with the 10-4 axis...
I could also be persuaded by one of these....

My personal favorite is this one which is on a nice discount at the link:

@Giles now I can’t unsee how it’s not on the 10-4 axis and it does bother me. I now prefer the 3 date. I’d rather sacrifice a plain marker for a date than a numeral.

I'm a fan of the SeaQ, particularly the panoramic date version. I took a look at them when they first came out and I remember comparing one to a Fifty Fathoms, and the Glashütte Original was better finished.
That said, the Blancpain Bathyscaphe in titanium is a lovely thing, though @Giles is allergic to the position of the date window. On the bracelet it's still 60% of the price of the Planet Ocean. It's also a lot slimmer than the SeaQ and rather light. The movement isn't as pretty, though.
Whilst I was admiring it, the dealer insisted I look at the very green and very rare chronograph they had in.
I think at the end of the day you can spend a premium on the brand, finishing, design, or technology. Some people get excited about a bit of hand-anglage on the movement. Others turn their noses up at anything that isn't a Rolex or Patek. I like innovations in horology. You pays your money and all that.

I love seeing the wide variety of watches here, really awesome folks.
Just checking back in with the 321 Speedmaster.
