@ARNC said in Live Concerts:
Peter Gregson double bill at the Southbank Centre
I would have enjoyed that too.

@Mizmazzle - every good boy deserves fudge! Listened back to that album very recently.

was going thru some old photos and thought I'd share. These were on a motorcycle trip we made years ago. The first night was south Ohio I think. We camped in the woods and there was this cave the band was setup in and they had food tables and stuff. It was nuts. I was thinking we'd be buried in a mudslide any minute.
The next night we were in some random forest/field/stream bank in Kentucky and these dudes rocked the place. Absolutely middle of nowhere.

I work in concerts so it's nice that this thread exists.

@WhiskeySandwich I remember reading this post when you first wrote it and I swear I responded because it’s so freaking incredible! Guess I didn’t. Haha.
Did you know these bands were going to be playing or you randomly were cruising state to state on your bike and happened upon two backwoods caves with bands ragin!!? That nuts!!
Sounds like one hell of a bike trip. Makes me miss mine so much. Used to love riding all day cross country…finding random forest roads or epic landscapes and just sleeping on the ground next to my bike. Wake up early and ride on to the next open road.

@Mizmazzle yeah dude it was a wild time with some good friends. We hit a few states with 6 dudes and met up with the Ride 4 Your Life crew up in OH. It was the final running of that ride after one of the original crew passed away. The event was epic and it was a good send off. Each night was booked at some boonie spot and each had a band out there that made for the wildest partying I’ve ever seen. Nothing like 100 greasy rascals getting gnarly to some live punk/country out where nobody can hear ya. Hell of a time!
Rest easy , Joel.

@Mizmazzle oh here’s the band that played that killed it in Kentucky:

We love going to see our favourite band from waaaay back. Canadian music fans might know 54-40. They never achieved the same fame as some other bands, but it’s the music I grew up on. They play the Horseshoe in Toronto every first weekend of December and our best friends and me and my wife go every year.
Fun side story, but when my best friend turned 50, he had Neil play an acoustic set at his home.
Here’s my wife and her bestie with Neil the lead singer.
