IHSH-372-BRN - Ultra Heavy Flannel Brown Crazy Check Western Shirt - Brown
-
@Supersonic the sleeves are way too long.
With your body type, I would recommend going for the work shirt. The western is better for those with a small chest and narrow shoulders.
-
@DrPat thanks
-
@DrPat took the words right out of my mouth.
-
@Brandrea Out of curiosity what size did you grab in yours?
I think the fear of the shrink pushed me towards the XL. I'm 6'0 and always thought I had long arms tbf.
-
@Supersonic I bought an XXL.
I’m 6’2”, 180 Lbs but with fairly broad shoulders and a 42” ish chest.
The shirt fits me comfortably with room to wear it over a heavy weight tee. Exactly what I was looking for.

I love this shirt all kinds, but when wearing it for the first time I noticed the white line in the placket that tapers into brown about two thirds down, and I’m trying my best to not let it bother me. We’re talking a degree or two off of right, that wouldn’t even be noticeable at a different point of the pattern, that I can’t help but wish was straight
I hold no fantasies of having the ability to do a better job, just know I wouldn’t be okay with it if I was the one making it. Good thing for my mental health I’m not a seamstress…. -
@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot that is quite hard to un-see once it’s been pointed out unfortunately!
-
@DeeDee85 tell me about it
-
@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot well the fit is spot on at least. It looks fantastic on you!
-
@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot It is one of those things that drives me crazy over time. If you had never pointed it out, I would not have noticed, but now I cannot unsee it. Out of curiosity, what size is it?
-
@SaddleSC large

Gotcha...the reason I asked is that I have noticed that where the patterns meet at the placket tends to change across sizes with UHF. Mine is also a Large and I wanted to check it for you to confirm this was not just the way the Larges turned out...as you can see yours does appear to be an anomaly...sorry about that!
-
@SaddleSC I have flannel-envy
-
I seriously tried to resist this one, since I REALLY don't NEED more shirts. What can I say: in the end as a child of the 70's I could not resist... I grew up with a bathroom and kitchen in the same colour scheme
XXL picked up at my favourite retailer Brund in Copenhagen.
-
@Tobi Looks fantastic on you, congratulations!
-
@Tobi Nice one man! Looks cracking. I'm new to IH and snatched one of these. Went with a Large after a switch out and fits similar to yours.
It's a boss little pattern this one.

Hey all! I’m new to the forum…I find all your posts so helpful when picking out sizes and seeing the actual products. I thought I’d post something in return!
Went to Self Edge to look at a leather jacket and ended up walking out with this. This thing is so comfortable!!! I’m usually a medium (sometimes a small). I like a little more snug fit so I ended up going with a small…the medium just had a little too much excess fabric around the body for me. The colors are way more vibrant than how it looks in the pic. 5’10” and around 150 lbs.

@TheDefaultState sweet shirt man. I’ve got the work shirt version. Looks like a great fit. I’d make sure to cold wash it. Sometimes the UHF can tighten up a bit with a wash.
