IHV-44-BLK - Primaloft® Gold Quilted Vest - Black

@SKT I’d go with the large. Mine fits the same in the waist area … a bit big, but if you want to layer under it, you need the room in the chest and shoulders IMO.
-
That’s funny. I think we’ve the same exact build and I almost always go with a M as a rule but often fear I should be going with Large. I just recently started picking up some leaves when the measurements are below 21.5” chest or 17” shoulder.
The L does look great and since this would almost always be layered over something bigger than a tee I’d probably do the same thing.

Proper head fucking if I ever saw one might be one of those pieces you’ll forever second guess no matter what you end up keeping
-
Perhaps I'll add a little more to the confusion then.
Reasons not to get M:
- Overall length looks slightly short to me (this would probably be more obvious if we could see a comparison over e.g., an untucked T-Shirt)
- Armpit area looks slightly tight with "just" a UHF under it (see arm opening)
Reasons to get L:
- Overall length looks spot on
- Armpit area is neither too loose nor too tight and just right with a UHF
- You can always decide to add another layer with the L, but not with the M
I would generally agree with @Giles' comment regarding Primaloft working better when snug, but I'd depart from that opinion if the overall fit is going to be too snug for you to the point where it'll affect you from having a better mobility and layering whatever you want to ultimately layer under it.

This vest, man….
-
@goosehd - maybe this?

@SKT Hope you don’t mind us having a little fun at your expense. If all of us agreed all of the time, this place would be boring as hell…
…as stated 1000 times before, fit is subjective and depends on what you’re comfortable with.
…and as I mentioned the other day, “like herding cats”
Good luck and let us know how you make out!
-
@SKT Not much more to say, that looks fantastic on you!

Looks great.
