IHSH-380-IND - 12oz Dobby Cloth Work Shirt - Indigo

@Heavy_blue Yeah I got the 16oz shirt as well but did not wear it that much since my main project is the tricotine right now but even compared to that one the 380 is completely different.
@ARNC thanks! It already feels great and I can wear it with no issue, just thought with a little more room I would not mind it
-
@Jaffy718 the fabric is really cool! I’ll hope the the CPO works for you! It will wait for you in Moria
-
How are you guys finding the breathability or lack thereof? I once had a studio d'artisan shirt like this but sold it because I sweat like I was in a winter jacket in humid weather in it. I don't know the weight of that particular fabric as I can't find the shirt online anymore.
-
@Denimminer i think your best option on this is @Jcaz6996 since he’s was rocking the sample. For me it’s quite breathable but i’ve just worn it one day in 15 celcius
-
@Denimminer I’ve only tried mine on so far but my first impression is that it should breathe well. I’ve been trying to work out how the fabric feels both heavy (in the positive IH sense) but also airy. It’s not exactly transparent but you can see background colours if you hold it up to the light. Agree that James is your man for first-hand experience.
-
@Denimminer It feels like a tight weave compared to other sashiko-ish fabrics I had but still breatheble and not too hot when worn as a standalone. Also it is one of the few heavier shirts of which I think you can role the sleeves up easy

I am 6.7 (200cm) and 93kg (205lbs). In all my UHFs I wear XXXL (all WESTERN). Same for the Selfedge exclusive moleskin CPO.
Based on the description above, my initial thought was sizing up to 4XL. However, after having had the chance to try own the shirt, I can say 3XL fits like a glove. For me arm length and overall length are most critical. I’d describe the fit as fitted but not tight.
Forearms are definitely on the tighter side but start to losen up already after a few hours of wear.
Hope this helps

@Alexander looks great on you man. I don't think I've seen you on here before but I think I recognize your profile photo from Instagram.
-
Haha - I’d say, I read more than I post but thought with this thread adding more reference points is helpful due to this one being a bit tricky to fit. My instagram is ab_crafted.

Hello !
Just received mine.
Very difficult to capture the colour and the texture. Here are some pictures. I am on the bigger side (185 / 91 kg) and I took 4XL. I was worried on the chest (I am 116) and the belly (no comment lol). I tried different expositions etc … impossible to really render the real thing. It is a deep dark blue / black thread. The blue is gonna get brighter and the contrast will increase with time. No problem for me in the forearms but I understand it could be problematic for muscular guys ! It is a thick fabric.
This is a beautiful shirt, very versatile in its uses, wonderful colour, classy.

@Germinal you are so true it’s so difficult to catch this amazing fabric on a photo.. but eitherway it looks terrific on you and i’m happy you like it!
-
@Germinal Looks good on you! I love it more everyday I'm wearing it. It's very cozy and as you said versatile. I have worn it as a smart shirt for also the last two days at work unbuttoned over my work clothes doing a lot of lifting and running around
-
@FlavourFade @Heavy_blue thank you guys ! My wife really loves it too … she told me I should wear it direct on the skin. I think it is a sign
-
So I received mine last night and I love it. Just wondering if I missed something because as far as I knew this was suppose to have the red W on the pocket too?

@Germinal when the wife approves then you’re good to go
-
@Germinal I think this is helpful! Between the two of us, it shows that 3XL and 4XL are really not that far apart if I can make 3XL with 2 meters and 93kg work and you can make 4XL with 1.85 and 91kg work
-
@Alexander I agree. We are the super helpful lol
