IHSH-62-ind - 12oz Wabash Western Shirt - Indigo

@the246guy yeah: flatter, denser, darker, nonexistent loom chatter versus TFH, which is basically a light version of their famed denim with dots. Love em both but reach for the 62 much more, and feel like the aging potential is a bit better even if it requires much patience.

Any chance the indigo CPO will be released soon.
It’s not going to be for some time, sorry

My old new friend has just landed. Shame I’m feeling under the weather but it has cheered me up. Here are the fit pics. This is a XXL with a 50cm shoulder and 70.5cm sleeve.
@FlavourFade XXL buddies

I don’t recall any other of my shirts coming with this particular tag on - but maybe I am wrong Is this something new?
-
@long_john86 I have seen JP tags on my XHS and some other items. Google Lens does a good job translating it!
-
@long_john86 looking sharp! I think I am also gonna wear this open over a white tee in the summer
-
@tody haha that’s awesome! Thanks for sharing mate
-
Hm. Crocking has never been an issue with mine. Many years in and she’s barely faded, though I’ve seen some impressive fades on the fabric from others.
-
Caved and grabbed one on eBay with white snaps(now I can stop bothering @AdamJ about the workshirt lol) it was a little big but happy with the fit after a hot wash and dry.
-
@october-rust it will shrink a bit more after a second wash or three as well.
Those white snaps are sweet too!

Yeah the white snaps sold me! I think the seller said he washed and dried for shrinkage too, so this is at least the second time through but it’s still noticeably smaller than when it arrived. I’ve had really successful results shrinking this down, as well as the Hickory stripe western- on that one I think I got the pit to pit down 2” with a couple trips through the washer/dryer.
-
@october-rust it’s such a cool shirt. I Probably get the most compliments on this one.

Guys I need your help! The shirt just landed and the sleeves are ridiculously off it seems. Anyone else experiencing the same problem? The sleeves of the 2XL 62-IND I just bought exceed the measurements of my 3XL 62-BLK, see pictures.
Hot wash and hope for shrinkage? Otherwise I’ll have to return I guess.
Shoulder and chest are alright, but the sleeves look like balloons..

@weftyarn I’m rocking a 70.5cm sleeve on my XXL and could still ideally do with and extra 0.5-1cm . Because I have stupid long stupid arms.
Is it the opening ‘along’ the sleeves that is the primary concern for you? @FlavourFade also noted a ‘bulkiness’ to the sleeves. Mine probably the same? (See above). Out at the moment so can’t compare with measurements.
-
Thanks for the quick feedback! It is only the part between shoulder seem and elbow that is concerning me… Which is exactly the part that doesn’t show up in the charts so that’s why I had no clue. No one to blame here except me, I should have had a closer look at the pictures probably. They all seem to show that ballooning upper arm.
-
@weftyarn My XL Indigo Wabash has the largest measurements of all of my xl shirts. It has the longest body, the longest sleeves, widest sleeve openings, and to your concern, the largest upper arm area.
I will say you can wash it hot and get some shrinkage but it does relax back out close to original dimensions. I am fine with this one fitting a bit oversized, as sizing down would be too snug p2p for me. I would probably feel better in the work shirt version xl dim's but I haven't taken action. I just avoid a really slim pair of jeans and i roll with it.
In the end, will you reach for it if you don't fully embrace it?
-
@jordanscollected exactly the feedback I needed mate! Will return it and hope the XL works / have a look at the Work Shirt dims.
Thanks for your help. This is one of the reasons I just love this forum. -
@weftyarn I have both from last year's batch and that's it, the black Wabash is definitely smaller and shorter than the indigo, at least in size XS, it was good for me, the second one I got the black one, I feel definitely better on me, but in the end I love them both, one for the color and one for the size.
-
@weftyarn these shirts will shrink a good amount over the first few washes. Mine was pretty baggy when I first got it. It fits much shorter in both sleeve and body now. Probably lost .75-1” in both. The chest and waist came in some too. The ballooning calmed a lot too as the fabric softens. But I don’t recall the ballooning ever being an issue I noticed much when mine was new.
