The herbs in the regular version (not Capri) are one of the things that make it stand out for me. For G&T I think it works well with a rosemary garnish, and I expect that would also work with the Capri.
Which reminds me I need to buy some sage - recommended serve for a new gin I was given. Maybe more news later!

Gonna be a good night

@mclaincausey Not sure if you’ve had Wild Common before, either way I look forward to your report.
-
@Jett129 I've never seen it in my area.
Oregon liquor availability can be little unpredictable due to the way the state runs the operation and sets the pricesThere was actually a culling of government employees in the last few years due to a controversy involving playing favorites with allocated bottles

@GraemeE I also picked up the Calumet Farms this past weekend. I’m a proof whore, so went with the Bull Lea edition. Never had this one before - it’s ok but not good enough to pick this particular edition up again imo.
-
Here is some whiskey I picked up on a road trip last summer. I figured I would enjoy some for the holiday.

@Jett129 first time and won’t be the last. Excellent juice. Now I want to try the still strength.
The G4 108 was as superb as you’d expect as well.
They had a bunch of good juice there. It was hard not to put a larger dent in my wallet.
-
@mclaincausey Didn’t realize that the G4 was the still strength. That really puts the agave flavor front and center. As far as the Wild Common goes,I’ll have to live vicariously through you. Heard that Volans has a still strength that’s supposed to be quite good as well.
-
@Jett129 I meant to grab the still strength of the Wild Common but the regular plata is magnificent

@GraemeE @John-Galt , Calumet Farms does a nice job with Barton sourced bourbon. I've had the 14, 15, and 16 year releases. Each one gets better than the one before. They are a bit pricey, though. Lucky Seven is another NDP that does a wonderful job with Barton juice, at a better price point. Highly recommend, if you come across one of their's...

@scooter I've heard nothing but good things about the 15 and 16 year old Calumets, and I liked the 10 year old that I tried a while back. Having said that my own personal bourbon age sweet spot tends to hover around the 7-10 year range. Sometimes the older bourbons are just too oakey for me.

Won this at a charity auction. Kind of weird but made a good OF
