Congrats MN!
Twolves wanted it more. Absolutely embarrassing to be down by 50 in one game and have a 28 point swing in a game 7 at home. I can’t overstate what a historic failure this has been for a title defense even though those have become quite rare. Got KAT into early foul trouble and decided not to get him out of the game, ran switches on him that let him cook guards, and let a vulnerable player and a liability be the POTG.
Both instances, the points in the paint evaporated in favor of bricks from the outside. I don’t understand it at all but I think we need a servicable defensive backup big and be open to moving MPJ if he can’t be more consistent.

@mclaincausey I’m not a big basketball fan, but love your analysis and summary of a game, despite the fact that I barely understand it! Absolutely superb.

@mclaincausey Jokic was passing the ball away in lieu of shooting in the lane for most of the night. It seems like he was more standoffish this game and his 3's weren't working until it was too late. Nas Reid took over for the foul troubled KAT and even on an off night for the Edwards, the wolves just wanted it more.
3 games won on the road for the Wolves is such a turnaround for MN sports.

Yeah, he was passing instead of posting up, but what really was the dagger was missing his first 7 3s instead of posting up. Even hitting half of those erases the final deficit. Probably just worn out. The timing of the comeback was tricky because while you want to sit Jokic when you have a big lead, the beginning of the 3rd quarter is a weird time to sit him.
Kudos to the Wolves, but also shame on the Nuggets for the way they lost these last two games. I’m hoping this lights a fire and motivates Booth to make some moves as well but this in my mind is on the Nuggets.

This has kind of been the antithesis of 30 years of Minnesota sports, SO FAR. What’s most promising to me is, there haven’t been many games yet where everyone is clicking at the same time, and we’re still finding ways to win. If KAT and Ant are both on I don’t think anyone can beat us, especially when a role player like Jaden puts up 23 points.
I don’t want to look past Dallas, but if(big if) we make it to the finals decided this morning I’ll fly home and take my dad to a game.

@Mizmazzle ice cold right over DPOY, stepping back for the kill shot when all they needed was a tie. The Balkan Ballers are so fun to watch.
-
@mclaincausey Balkan Ballers!! Not sure if that’s a known moniker…if not it should be!!
-
Bill Walton was an amazing man. Fare you well sir.
-
@mclaincausey awesome man. Only thing better is if you two were rocking a tie dyed dead head tee
-
@flannel-slut agreed. At least he’s wearing Bob Dylan gear.
-
@mclaincausey of course he had Bob Dylan gear on. Legend indeed

@flannel-slut freaking awesome dude!!!
-
@Mizmazzle great time last night! Special shout out to the Twolves taking out your Nuggets. Mavs in the finals was a dream matchup
-
@Mizmazzle unbelievable 4th quarter.

@IrishHeart feel bad for those Serbs…they watched it all slip away right when it matters most.
