@Watty …credit card fees alone are 3.5% (just looked and the current general rates are 1.5%-4%) and higher on every transaction. 5% in the big scheme wouldn’t touch the amount lost on transactions. I can’t say for certain how much every retailer loses, but I would say it’s much higher than what most people would think.
-
@JerkStore looks great ! Enjoy breaking it ! After 24h it gets even better
-
Sorry for the rubbish picture, it’s kind of dark here and I’m home alone. I’m glad I sized up to an XL, I’m not sure I could’ve pulled off the shoulders on a large.
One thing I’ve noticed that I’m not fond of both sleeves have a very pronounced fold mark running down them. Anybody else’s?

That's what I was referring to in my post somewhere above, that they were fading on the hanger. Many of the shirts had it, probably from rubbing during transport.
-
@Anesthetist my left sleeve has a major fold / crease in it as well. As if it was folded then stitched on the cuff? right sleeve isn't as noticeable.
-
@Anesthetist mine has fold marks on the sleeves as well, though not as pronounced as yours. I'm reasonably confident they will become less noticeable with wear and wash, so I don't really mind them. I've had similar vertical fades after washing my denim but they've disappeared as well. It's all part of the journey for me
-
@JerkStore Lovely shirt, but more importantly, I love your tiny little friend in the background.
-
@Germinal For sure. All else aside, I have no issue with being required to pay for my return shipping, especially in cases where a "free shipping" threshold was triggered on the part of the retailer.
@goosehd I mean, we have to start somewhere and I just picked 5% as it seemed at least somewhat reasonable. If the idea is they lose X on every sale, then surely inflating the price X is taken from would be better than simply basing it on retail. But sure, I would agree that the overhead costs generally are probably much higher than we'd think.
Being completely honest, sometimes I wonder how certain outfits can even stay in business maintaining a brick and mortar....but that's a much larger conversation around costs and margins.
-
@Anesthetist by the way, great fit!
-
@Tago-Mago thanks! I Will get better photos whenever the wife gets home.
@tody In my excitement to see pics, I must’ve missed that! It doesn’t really irritate me, I know it will settle down, but I was a little surprised
-
@Anesthetist , i see some marks on mine, right sleeve only. Could be from having them folded in a suitcase for a coupe of days. Don't mind them, think they will disappear over time.
-
@Twistlock I’m looking at the stacking on your sleeve. Do you think this fabric would produce some
Deep stacks? -
So, my tightest(while still comfortable) IH shirt is IHSH 295ib with a chest of exactly 24". The XXX 397 is listed at 24.6" what's the consensus? Impossible to size up due to availability. I'll be ordering from a USA retailer so only a slight return hassle. Looks good on paper... Thoughts? Buy or pass? Thanks!
-
@CosmoSix5 If the 295 is comfortable enough, and you have the option of returning, then I think you may regret not at least giving it a try?
If it was a Western, or even had snaps then I would have bought one myself. Great fabric, especially if you want to see some interesting evo
-
I suspect, that given the popularity, they’ll bring this back… maybe even in a CPO or Western cut. Then again, it may take 5 years, or it may never happen! Better to go for it, return for some credit (and an excuse to buy the next thing you fall in love with)
-
This look ok or am I kidding myself?
-
@steelworker it’s perfect
-
@steelworker oh yeah!! Spot on!! Looks like you have a touch of sleeve room to account for stacking. Length and shoulders on point!! Congrats.
