Slightly surprised to find this empty thread - what’s wrong with Munich? I’m only an occasional visitor but thought I’d mention a new (to me) place I was at last night.

My experience might be coloured by the fact that I was celebrating a good outcome in a couple of appeal cases with colleagues/clients but I had nothing but good impressions of Pacific Times last night.

I thought it had a great atmosphere, well stocked bar and knowledgeable and friendly staff. While waiting for everyone to arrive I had a decent boulevardier and an interesting conversation with the bartender about vermouth and how he adjusts his recipes through the evening as he gets to know people’s tastes and as their palate is influenced by food.

Will definitely consider a return visit on future trips.

@weftyarn was super helpful when my wife and daughter visited Munich earlier this year. I’ll see what information would be relevant to add here - they were visiting the new arena at the Messe for a concert.
