My wife wanted to watch “My Old Ass” (Amazon prime). I didn’t know anything about it but I’m a fan of Aubrey Plaza so we gave it a go. We both absolutely loved it. Sweet and funny coming of age movie that was truly touching by the end. It was filmed around Muskoka lake in Canada…some of the most beautiful landscapes I’ve ever seen and now we both want to go. I think it touched us because our kids will be that “leaving home” age pretty soon and it perfectly captured that bittersweet feeling

@flannel-slut watched this yesterday... never been more disturbed by a piece of media in my life!
Thoroughly enjoyed, but never wanna see it again...

@endo one of my better English teachers in high school had assigned us Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. Apocalypse Now, brilliant adaptation.

@T4920 🫠 Holy. Shit. The Substance.

Haha man I can’t wait to see this one. Gonna have to wait until the lady’s out of town, I’m guessing. To her, Gremlins might as well be Saw.

Don’t watch many movies these days but have seen some on the plane of late
Hit Man: B-, helped by the setting in New Orleans
Deadpool x Wolverine: B+, over the top, ridiculous, had some funny moments
Twisters: A-, really fun flick… surprisingly so

If anyone is tempted to watch ‘Classified’ starring Aaron Eckhart, on a plane maybe; I would recommend you don’t bother.
Terrible.

@flannel-slut Came here to basically say the same. When I spent half a year in the UK, going to school there, we read that, too. Makes you admire the film adaption even more.

@Mister_Brue always appreciate a “steer clear from” experience. We watched Wolfs the other night, holding out hope for a fun ride like bullet train but just another throwaway.
@mclaincausey will have to remember keep twister in mind for a family movie night.
