@jfox1980 I would go Eagle Rare,Blantons,E.H. Taylor,Weller. I think that would be an ascending tasting.
I think I might have to go that route!

Going back through and saw this, I bought my bottle almost 10 years ago. if I remember correctly a killer low price for a 21 year. Not to mention so good…
-
@northsouthdenimguy That's looks to be a really nice bottle, 21yo Balvenie is going to be great let alone a port finish version. hate to think what that might cost now?
I am entering the ballot at my local whisky shop to try and pick up a bottle of the latest Springbank 10 yo Amontillado finish, wish me luck, I think they only have 6 bottles to sell, goodness knows how many people will enter the ballot.
-
@northsouthdenimguy A quick google shows that the 21yo port finish Balvenie is selling at cheapest 220 GBP (280 USD).

These should keep me amused over Christmas

I’ve had that bottle for years now too like the other 21. One of the few we did not decimate in 2020. Occasionally, having a drink at home, but trying not to overdo it, especially on the more expensive harder stuff to get.
Definitely not a collector but I like to pick up interesting stuff or just have it for when people come over…

@northsouthdenimguy That is a fantastic looking collection. Always nice to be able to offer some guests some good choices. I do tend to keep the super rare stuff at the back of the cupboard away from public consumption.
I purchased a cheap bottle of Jameson's specifically for my Brother in law who likes an Irish coffee occasionally. Throwing a nice single malt into a coffee drink upset me somewhat so the Jameson's bottle was procured.
