I wore jnco that were comical

@CosmoSix5 You aren't alone. This is why I'm so averse to anything being even slightly oversized. In my head it looks a lot baggier than it really is.

Reminds me of the time I went shopping with my own money for the first time when I got my first paycheck at 16yo...
Accidentally bought women's jeans because skinny was on trend at the time. I was too embarrassed to return them so my dad had to drive into the city and do it for me the following day...
I remember buying a pair of G-STAR jeans when I was 15 with money I got that year for Christmas... had no idea of sizing and came hope with jeans wayyy too big

I bought this sweet little mechanic cap from UES. Really small brim, five panels.
First time I wore it my 11yo daughter asked me where the propeller was.
Never wore it again.

I get the Canadian Tuxedo comment on occasion. Also when I wore the 25oz vest I got a few questions like “who the heck wears a denim vest”?
At home my wife comments that anything chambray is a “prison shirt”.
Other than that, no one comments on my clothes. It’s not unexpected I guess. Do men talk to each no other about fashion IRL?
I would gladly accept getting made fun of. “Take your best shot see if you can irk me”.

This thread is awesome. Sorry you had to deal with trolls @CosmoSix5 but can we expect any less from social media these days? Your MISSterious reference from the office had me rolling

I have a friend IRL that is from Japan, and he's really into Japanese denim, watches, boots, and jackets. We have a lot to talk about!

@jdwaid "there was this giant bin of clothes, people were rifling through it, I grabbed one... And it fit!"
-
@jordanscollected barista at my coffee shop is always interested in my get up. He's always dressed well too. And a guy that frequently stops in has more IH than I do.

Sometimes I get shit about my Crocs… but @Tago-Mago can fuck right off.

Yes, we call that an Iron Heart meetup

Same
My wife like IH and has even bought me some, but she definitely has made some witty comments and doesn’t mind dragging me from time to time. She had me come up with a term for denim shirt, pants, and jacket. We called it the Zimbabwe Tuxedo. I think she finds it an odd hobby and also perhaps a charming peccadillo.
I remember an ex’s girlfriend couldn’t stop laughing at my paraffin duck 634s. The fabric was so thick it just boggled her (frankly, tiny) mind it was a hoot!

We call this the "duxedo". I can't wait to add the vest in the spring! Note: I only wore this for the photo lol

lol i like this thread
Wearing my hickory, my buddy asked me "How long you been working on the railroad?"
My wife calls my 362 the "cardboard shirt".
Whenever I get called out for wearing double-denim I just tell them "I do what I want."

@CosmoSix5 Vans currently has a duck version of the Half-Cab

Not IH related, but for a time back from 2016-2018 or so, I was commuting to work on my road bike. It was 11 miles each way, and I wear the full cycling kit; lycra bibs, tight jerseys, cycling shoes, a helmet, and glasses. I was at a stop light, and a truck pulled up to me and the window rolled down. The driver leans over the passenger (I assume she was his daughter) and asked me if I shave my legs. I said, "no, but maybe I should consider it because I hear it'll make me faster." That was the end of that.

@CosmoSix5 amazing. I have the gear for a 2 piece duxedo and will have to try.
Of could there’s also the dotxedo (Wabash) we can troll the rest of the world with
