@seawolf I can’t blame anyone for not getting it. It’s a learned skill. It’s a social food. A decent crab picker can get 2 full crabcakes worth in 5 minutes if rushed. It’s not just a meal it’s a tradition. Lobster is an easy copout when Marylanders have a crab feast, it’s an event.

Yeah I get that. Same thing with crawfish boils. It’s a cultural thing as much as it is a food thing.
I was thinking more along the lines of what would I order at a restaurant; purely thinking about the food and not the trappings or event.

@WhiskeySandwich I just don’t love getting my hands dirty when I eat. And I don’t love crab enough for it to be worthwhile. It seems like a great social thing, but it’s not my thing.

@seawolf you would not enjoy the burger I’m about to post in WAYET then

I definitely am mainstream on the wing thing, but if a sauce is good enough I’ll only dip every other bite. Has to be an exceptional dressing though.

You don’t order crabs at a restaurant. You order them at a crab house.
Once you know how to do it and with some practice, I can plow through a dozen in no time. Everyone does it just a little different but it’s a Maryland family tradition to pass down the ability to pick a crab clean while drinking cheap beer. Do not drink good beer with crabs. I passed it down to my kids just like my dad did for me.

Dipping buffalo wings in blue cheese is an abomination.
damn. I thought we were friends.

@Tago-Mago if it’s on draft, then glass. If it’s from a bottle, then I’m drinking from the bottle.
