Y'2 Leathers….
-
@Tago-Mago HAHA ya got me! I can discreetly mask any farts with a stretegically timed squeak.
-
@WhiskeySandwich
will get better after first wear in rain . -
@Daniel-San we're supposed to have some wet/snowy weather thru the weekend. Might have to start a sloppy snowball fight...
-
@Mister_Brue it might be a moment before I wear it under something indigo but I see wearing it normally as I would any other jacket. I'm kinda interested to see how this leather might age or patina if it's anything like other pale leathers.
As for if I like it better, not really, it's just very different. This leather is so much thicker they can't sew on the front or rear seams which give a bit of character. This leather probably feels less water resistant as well compared to the oiled steer or horsehide options from the shop. I do like that this version has an internal chest pocket.
Had this shirt been available in camel when I visited, it probably would have come back with me then.

@pechelman looks amazing!.....I really love that colour too - congrats!

@WhiskeySandwich That’ll de the trick!
Has the squeaking subsided somewhat?
-
Newyear new jacket:)

Hello,
does the leather jacket Y’2 come with a protective cover or garment bag and matching coat hangers?
Thanks! -
@atanas38dimitrov
yes , Hanger and bag. -
Garment bag is crap, to be honest. Hanger in the other hand…. Sublime
-
@Buckeye
Hanger looks good, but it’s not wide enough at the end for heavyweight leather for my taste. -
@Daniel-San yeah… you’re right, stuff kinda hangs off the edge if you have wide shoulders. However, as a piece of art…
-
Hanger pictures please.
-
@WhiskeySandwich Nice pics in the snow.
-
@thooy05 love it! the Y2 N1 is such a great jacket, especially as it wears in a bit - super warm too
-
@Darth-fader thanks man, i agree its super warm n soft inside, i spay it with water to help the break in

Great to see the activity in here. I purchased the Tom Western SK-13 in April. I’ve been trying to wear it as often as I could in this sporadic Southern California weather. I don’t need anything super heavy duty, so this “shacket” is perfect for me.
Due to these running smaller, I took a gamble on the size when I purchased it. Fortunately, I fell in love with the fit immediately once I received it. The sleeves are just a tiny bit longer than what I’d prefer, but all the other measurements work well for me. I’m currently eyeing the Kakishibu Type 1, so hopefully I’ll be able to add another Y’2 piece.
I wore it earlier this week on a family trip to Legoland, and it was awesome!
