I feel bad for Darnold. Just hemorrhaged money these last several starts. I don’t know who can get that brilliant receiver corps to the promised land but doesn’t seem to be him. Horrendous pocket awareness last night.

@Mizmazzle You spelled Ravens wrong my guy.

I’m not disagreeing with anything you said,but what happened to the O.Line these last 2 starts. That was really ugly. Early on I said to my wife he looks like a deer in the headlights.

@deanclean your post got me thinking about @Bailey …did you ever land on a team to follow? You could do worse than the Commanders. They’re a franchise reborn with new ownership and some great young talent. I got to see Jayden Daniels play in college the year he won the Heisman and I think he’s going to be a superstar.
-
I’ll add one more thing about Daniels. I saw him take an absolute monster hit while scrambling when I saw him play in college. Had to have been concussed. He was totally woozy and I was sure he wouldn’t return. But he did and led LSU from behind for the win on the road. He has whatever “it” is.

There were a few times this season when I thought that The Ravens were the best team in the NFL,and then they’d go out and loose to a last place team. They were the only team that really impressed me this weekend. That was the way I thought their offense would be all season. I don’t know that there’s a defense that can stop their rushing attack.
-
@Tago-Mago oh yeah I’m sure there is but I’m not as familiar with the protocol in college.
-
@SKT While I never once thought that The Chiefs were the best team in the NFL,I never stopped thinking that they were the best coached team in the NFL. Unless you can blow them out or get a big early lead,you have to play 60 minutes of mistake free football. If the Chiefs beat Texas,then the AFC Championship game should be epic.
-
It’s also about scheme and strategy. Ravens were plenty well coached last year but failed to win the conference because they didn’t lean into what was working for their offense (rushing) and needlessly turned it into an air raid.
This year they’re stronger on rushing and passing offense and unless they repeat those strategic mistakes I expect them to prevail over a comparatively weaker Chiefs squad, assuming they get by Houston and Buffalo, respectively.

So many of these games come down to someone making a mistake. How does Pete Carroll not just hand the ball off to Marshawn Lynch,after he had just ran the ball down to the 2 yard line. He thought he was slick,but Malcom Butler had practiced that when they line up like that,It's a pass,and the rest is history. Steve Spagnola even said in interviews he never understood why The Ravens stopped running the ball. Lamar did miss a couple of throws,they had a fumble,and lo and behold you get beat by a seemingly inferior team.
-
God the whole world minus Pete Carroll was in disbelief at that play call. Not only was it perhaps the worst play call in league history from a strategy perspective (and I’d love to hear some other candidates from y’all), it also felt like a slap in the face to Marshawn, kind of like Refrigerator Perry scoring a touchdown when Walter Payton didn’t in SB XX.

@mclaincausey This is pretty interesting.
