IHJ-143-IND - 12oz Kersey Work Jacket - Indigo/Black
Inspired by the classic mechanic jackets of the 1950s and ‘60s, our vintage-style work jacket blends American and European tailoring techniques to create a retro aesthetic with a contemporary, fitted silhouette. Stylish yet functional, features include a 14 wale corduroy collar and cuff linings, a YKK zippered placket, button fastening cinches and action pleated sleeves for enhanced manoeuvrability.
New for SS25, this version is cut from tightly woven 12oz Japanese Kersey. Named after the English village from where it originated, Kersey is a hardwearing fabric characterised by its ridged twill weave. Woven using rope-dyed indigo warp yarns and a sulphur cheese-dyed black weft, the result is a warm, lightweight fabric that will gradually fade with high contrast, emphasising the three-dimensional nature of the weave.

This is also the favorite for me, I also like that it's little boxier cut. I have found the summer jackets to be snug in the past, I like it but I do sometimes want to wear more than a Tshirt underneath.
Can someone point me in the direction of a similar fabric so I can see how this one might fade?

I came back to look at this one again after I watched the IH Germany release video because Shane wore the Jacket quite a bit at the start of the video. I am curious about the buttons in this colour; are they really this colour or are they a little more subdued in reality? I find that in the video, they stick out a lot and I keep looking at them. This is obviously a 100% subjective opinion but I was curious if I'm the only one? I know the camera can make things look a little different especially since the button's are glossy and the rest of the jacket is not, but I did find myself wondering what blue buttons would look like...

I like the color of the buttons. I think it ties the brown collar together with the rest of the jacket.

I know in the reveal video it was stated this has a stiffer handful compared to the western and work shirts, but will it provide the same amount of warmth?

Have been wearing this jacket for a week now to try and see how it ages after @tvaillant75 prompted the question. What I will comment on is what a beautiful jacket it is, very versatile worn with a tee or layered. I love how it feels throwing it on unlined and although it is quite a subtle kersey, the texture and density of the weave is

@SKT Just an entirely different model both of which were/are seasonal so the same pattern of either may not be produced again
