IHSH-305-BLK - 13oz Heavy Solid Flannel CPO Shirt - Black

Yep, it's super soft and smooth @RoxRocks86. Has a different feel than any other IH shirt I have touched. Feels great.

Thank you so much for the feedback everyone!
I got a bit worried after going trigger happy that she may be expecting that double brushed softness of being wrapped in a cozy blanket that a uhf brings, but you guys have reassured me that there’s nothing to worry about. Will report back with her reaction when it lands

Thanks for the kind words, y’all. It’s sure to be a favorite for years to come.
Anyone remember the LL Bean chamois shirts? This reminds of that fabric on steroids. Ultra heavy chamois.

That's probably the best way to describe this material…..an ultra heavy, smooth chamois.

That thing did tighten up nicely @sabergirl hope I have the same luck as you! I just ordered one, sized up, and I’m getting a little nervous… Did you happen to take any measurements before/after? The fit looks great on you! How are you getting along with it?
-
I don’t have any measurements. Fit is definitely way better. The sleeves are still too long, but I feel like the loss of a little bit from all the dimensions really helped my fit. Overall, I think this one isn’t cut quite right for me. I need a little shorter body and wider opening. But the fabric is killer, and keeps me wanting to wear it.

@sabergirl Bummer! Yeah, I could see how the sleeves being too long could be annoying. Did you hot wash and machine dry it? Any ill effects on the fabric itself? Sorry for all the questions… I obviously have the itch pretty bad
-
Sleeves don’t really bother me—it’s the opening that’s the killer.
I think the wash was warm, but that’s pretty hot on my American machine. I use “regular” wash which has high agitation and spin. Tumble dried hot. The fabric feels the same. No ill effects, and it did lose about half a size in all dimensions, which is on par for what happens when I treat regular UHF this way.

Thanks for the info sabergirl! I really thought it looked great on you in the picture. I’m excited about this one!! So curious about that new fabric, someone earlier in the thread said it seems several ounces heavier that 12… you get that same impression from it?

How’s the shrinkage on this shirt? I know it’s been rinsed, but could a hot soak/wash potentially shrink it close to a size down? Contemplating on purchasing but my size is sold out so I’m wondering if I can snag a size up from my normal size and shrink it down? Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks.

It’s going to shrink more vertically than horizontally. Just keep that in mind if you want to play the shrinkage game.

Thank you @sabergirl @DrPat. I’ll keep that in mind. This is such an amazing shirt!
