Oakland, the Last Refuge of Radical America
edit* my response sounded like an upset rant. Dont want that to be the case. I can say I disagree with everything Occupy Oakland stands for at this moment, until they prove they can keep these out of town scrubs that go around breaking things on a leash.

I popped into Taylor and Stitch the other day. Cool spot. The shirts are really nice, but I didnt really see any fabrics that blew my mind. Im into heavier, sturdy material, and most I saw were standard cotton. Very well made though. They also have a womens side that has just as many cool shirts for ladies, which is nice, considering women have a harder time finding a proper fit thanks to the variations in curves etc… They also are a Rancourt dealer/depot, so they have a few in stock, but O saw a guy getting a custom make up.
Another interesting thing is the Banana Republic on Sutter and Grant has a custom shirt booth, and Taylor and Stitch are the people behind it, so I guess its a BR/TS collaboration. I didnt get an idea on price, will do next time.

I'm headed to San Francisco with my girlfriend next month, can anybody recommend some highlights we should check out? We're staying in Portrero Hills for the first three nights and then planning on spending our final night in either Napa or Sonoma Valley. Any recommendations on wineries or breweries would be most appreciated as well!

Wish I had seen your message sooner Clint. Id have had great recs for you.
I like Howell Mountain at Napa for wineries. Ladera, Neal Family, and Cade are a few worth investigating on that hill. Elizabeth Spencer is nice in the valley.
For beer I like Sonoma. Moylans, Lagunitas, Russian River, and Bear Creek are all stupendous. In the city, El Dorado is a great beer bar on Haight.
For a nice romantic off the beaten path seafood dinner adventure go up to Nick's Cove and Cottages on Tomales Bay. Great seafood, particularly the oysters they pull right out of Tomales.

Any hotel recommendations for SF?

I like the Hopkins Intercontinental. If you're rich, the Regis. Too rich for my blood unfortunately.

I usually stay at the Intercontinental to. It's not cheap, but good location.
