@weftyarn if the 1301 is 21oz denim then the 1700 is 25 XHS. This one is super heavy. It reminds me a lot of one I had as a hand me down from my grandfather but on steroids. That one was probably from Kmart, gimbals, Woolworth or Montgomery Ward and was like an off white but had the same knit. But the IH one is extra heavy. It's hard remembering something from over 30 years ago but I'd imagine the IH one is like a third heavier than my grandfather's.
Back in my XHSib for as long as I can take it. Gonna try a 72 hour stint this time. I've got to get used to sleeping in them.

Went monochrome today (maybe hard to see olive fleece vest over olive jersey tee) in anticipation of layering the UnTucked when she lands. Turns out this vest layers under an A-2 very well and you get four more pockets.

These fall looks, especially all the leather shirts, are smashing. @mclaincausey that green vest is great. Seems like a one hit wonder if they ended up in the outlet, and one that will bring pride of ownership later on for those who picked one up.

I never wore any XHS, so I can't really compare, but yes, the 1700 is an absolute beast of a thermal and I absolutely love mineWearing 1301 & UHF right now though. For the 1700 the temps have to further drop. Looking forward to it!
Have one in mind that I haven't seen a picture of in a while.
