Giles and Paula's Great Retirement Adventure
-
She's a beaut, G.
I look forward to hearing what she (or another lucky lass should this one not work out) will be named.
Better be the Paula middle initial here or there could be trouble
-
She looks great. Hope everything works out.
If she's like a "floating cottage", I'm wondering if there's a way of incorporating a (salt-tolerant) garden somewhere onboard.
100% can do indoor LED-based hydroponic gardens in a closet-sized enclosure that would provide enough greens to keep them flush with salad, or a smaller-scale operation on the kitchen counter. I have some friends doing the former with a proprietary commercial system, but it would be very easy to build one to spec.

Sorry @Giles, must be a language barrier. Or I simply don't know the definition of sailing a boat. In which case I'm excited to sail my Lund bass boat in a few months time.

There's a picture of it in the first post
But perhaps it would be more accurate to call it a motor boat (see what I'm dealing with here, a woeful lack of any idea what I am doing)…

Motor Yacht, i think is the technical term. But it sounds a bit wanky

A name for a boat is a very personal choice, but have you considered a Japanese name? You were a "trailblazer" in the Japanese denim world and it brought you a ton of success. You will continue to blaze trails in retirement in all your travels.
Japanese for Trailblazer is "Senku-sha"

I wonder if there'd be room for your kayak up where that raft dinghie is @Giles ? The Padmore flotilla…
