Great pair! Keep on wearing them.

Nice

how should they fit when i first get them? tight but buttoned all the way?
Usually a good start. Where is the pant tight? Some areas will stretch easier than others.

lol, they are about 5 inches too small, i cant even button the first button. i bought a pair of unselvedge ones size 35 and they were about 3 inches too big. sold them and bought a pair of selvedge ones and they are small as shit.
my tape measure says i am a 36 so i will probobley pick up a 35 as soon as i unload these ones

you probably know this, but measure your pants (some that fit you) not yourself:

Then compare those measurements to the ones on the product summary.
And imo if you can't get them buttoned when new, they ain't ever gonna be comfortable!

okay, i know with some brands like APC its common to not get the top two buttons when they are new so i had to double check before screwing up my third order of ironhearts
I don't think you bought them from us, but if you had it is highly unlikely that you would have screwed up one order, we religiously check people's sizing and size choice before shipping out anything. That does not mean we always get it right because some, but it significantly reduces the risk….

Thank you! @Max Power I'll keep wearing them hard and see how they turn up.

It's never a good idea to size down so far you can't button up. Be comfortable!

Respectfully disagree. With a denim that stretches, I think to achieve an eventual good fit it's inevitable and 100% part of the experience. With a belt covering the unfastened top button, not a problem either.
And I think it's a myth that tight jeans are uncomfortable. One has to have the taste for a tight fit, that is true, and if one does, the infamous "initial discomfort" (famous citation from Self Edge) absolutely is a phase that I would hate to miss when wearing in a new pair. -

This is absolutely correct.
No matter how hard I've tried, if the jawnz are uncomfortable from the start, they will be uncomfortable in the future. I buy jeans to enjoy wearing them and not to hope they might stretch after some months of wear (which they don't in my case). It's kinda silly because I never experienced a big amount of stretch which will justify to size down (and if one sizes down, not only the waist becomes smaller but also everything else) … but again this is my personal experience and I don't claim to possess the one and only truth. It just doesn't work for me.

Good Lord. Wearing overly tight pants is not for me. I had to give my 666S 18 oz. to my brother in law because they were crushing my boys.
I sized down on the 666S (W36) for a smaller hem in an attempt to stretch them but no freaking way (I can't even put them on after a soak). Thinking about going TTS W38 because the 18 oz denim is really nice and full of character.
