IH-6634-BRN - 14oz Heavy Corduroy Straight Cut Pants - Brown
-
@Dstauffer I couldn't agree more…I just got some XHS and some 888Ds....but damn if I don't love me some corduroy!!! Just when I thought my pants game was on lock, these cords come along and pull me back in!!!
-
Anyone happen to have the brown cords from prior snd the duck canvas pants? I’m curious how there two colors compare side by side?? I’m leaning beige on the cords I my cause I feel the brown might be in the same color wheelhouse as the ducks…idk…trying to at least kee my pant game color diverse. Makes having each pair of pants more relevant somehow.

Problem is, there’s no way of knowing how the new brown and beige compare to the khaki cord of old. But here they are side by side.
Pretty different. We’ll have to wait for comparison shots when the new ones are in their hands at IHUK. I’ll bet you can get the crew to put them together for you easily enough.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wow! Thanks @sabergirl very much appreciated. Kinda crazy. If I had to guess I would have thought those were the beige ones in your picture. Much lighter than the sample shot. Now I really have some thinking (and waiting) to do!!!

Mizmazzle just to belabor the point again: these are from a previous run of cords years ago. They are NOT a pair of what is about to be released, so we have no way of knowing how the new release colors will compare to duck.
You can dream, but I’m not sure this pic should provoke too much thought. I’d wait until the new colors are in hand and someone at IHUK can show you a side by side pic if it’s a big factor in your decision.

Predicting what colour future releases are and what the sizing will be is an exercise in futility unless you don't mind a whack of approximation…....We never know until the production run gets here, even the colour of samples may be subtly different from the production run. Samples are an iteration of the journey from the germ of an idea to the end result.....

Thanks @sabergirl and @Giles
I figured the sample was probably not going to be exact. I was more surprised at sabergirls earlier iteration of brown being as light as it was. I really like that color. Kinda hope this new version come close to that! -
I am now keeping my eye on these!
Given what happened to the IH-734, where by it’s advertised as a 634 but then has a high rise and large thigh like an 888. A high rise and larger thigh is the thing I care about. (My dream would be to have pages on the site for rise instead of taper.
So yeah, measurements (when they arrive) will be interesting to see!
EDIT: the description and forum posts for IH-734 have been updated to describe them as being based on 888 now instead of 634 so things are a bit clearer now (imho).

@GreatDenimFan Maybe this helps: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/content/our-cuts-jeans
OUR CUTS
Over the years, we’ve developed a range of jeans and other pants to suit different body shapes and to work with your individual choice of style. We started with our original ‘signature’ straight cut, and now include bootcut, slim, super-slim and tapered silhouettes. None of our cuts is extreme, but rather we have developed a classic range of great-looking jeans and pants, beautifully constructed from superb Japanese denim and other fabrics.STRAIGHT
This includes any jean with the 634 model number, which is where it all started for Iron Heart, so we consider the 634 to be our ‘signature’ cut. Loosely based on a 1966 Levi’s 501, it is a straight cut jean with a medium rise and slight taper from knee to hem. Other straight cuts include our 1955 jeans, loosely based on a 1955 Levi’s 501 cut with a higher rise and a fuller top block than the 634, and a selection of chinos and work pants.SLIM
Our slim cuts include any jean with the 666 model number, a slim straight cut jean, a little slimmer all the way through the profile than the 634, but with a similar rise. We call the 666 a ‘grown up slim cut’. Also included are our 777 jeans which are slightly more tapered than the 666 cut (the 777 cut is also included under tapered cuts) and our slim cut 721 model chinos.SUPER SLIM
Includes any jean with 555 in the model number. These jeans are a high rise slim jean. They have a higher rise than the 634 and are quite a lot slimmer all the way through the profile. They look great on larger people who want a slim look below the knee.SLIM TAPERED
Any jean with 777 model number. The 777 cut is our “slim tapered” jean, similar to the 666 cut but slightly more tapered. Other tapered pants include our slim tapered 721 model chinos and relaxed tapered cargo pants, the IHDR-502.RELAXED TAPERED CUT
Includes any jean with the 888 model number. Our relaxed tapered cut was introduced to provide extra room in the top block and thigh whilst allowing a flattering, slim silhouette to be retained. Featuring taper from below the knee to the hem. -
Thank you, I do understand the existing cuts.

Per my experience in seasons past (and due to Alex’s response in the beige color thread), as soon as there are rumblings from Japan, they will post the updates.
I know it sucks waiting when the guesstimate release dates have delays. Especially with these, which for me have been probably the hardest piece to wait for that I can remember (on par with waiting for my very first UHF to drop).
As G has affectionately (I assume there’s some degree of affection and not all irritation :D) told me and countless others: IWHWIH…..but I hope it happens soon!

I am ready for you to take my money.
