The Jesus and Mary Chain opened up their european tour in my hometown last night. It was phenomenal sold out show (around 2200 people). If you have a chance to see them, go see them, they are (still) great!

Using this thread to manifest any good luck I can for myself and anyone else attempting to get Oasis tickets this weekend.
-
@alexxedge Good luck! However, I feel the chances are slim between the scalpers and bots.
-
@goosehd I hear that. I got lucky and was selected for the pre-sale ballot. You at least have to use a code and your account has to be linked to the email the code was sent to. So fingers crossed that helps.

Oasis tickets relisted for £6,000 minutes after pre-sale - https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cj62dg8zgp9o

@Tago-Mago I miss the days of camping out for bands that I wanted to see and tickets at face value. This shit now is insane and makes me not want to see “some” concerts.
I mentioned earlier that my girls wanted to see Taylor Swift in concert and I decided to try and find tickets for them. That lasted for about 10-15 minutes with a big hell no at the end of my search. The markups were outrageous to say the least.

Lucky you! Are you in the US? Didn't hear of anyone here hitting the presale besides maybe those who were already on the mailing list. Trying for the regular sale here in the next hour, but not feeling too optimistic. Heard rumblings of a few US shows, which might be my best bet- hopefully they get along until then.
-
@alexxedge Did you succeed in getting tickets?
-
@alexxedge I hope you land a pair.
-
@goosehd I agree. Llining up and camping for tickets was awesome. That’s absolutely gross about the resale.
-
@october-rust I am in the US. I knew folks from Ireland and England that both did and didn’t get it. It seemed like a truly random drawing for the presale.
-
@goosehd shockingly, I did! I end up getting Wembley tickets. Best part is, the concert is bang on my 41st birthday. Can’t think of a better way to celebrate.
-
@alexxedge Huge congratulations and wishing you a fantastic birthday! Can’t think of a better way to spend one by watching a great band in a fantastic location. Enjoy

My friend Brad had 3 people plus him all logged in for different locations. Ended up with two tickets to the Edinburgh. I told him, I don't understand the hype lol. But man, this concert ticket model is not going away.. And boy I miss camping out at Ticketmaster lol
-
@CosmoSix5 I miss being able to go to the box office,at The Fillmore East, the day of the show, and being able to get decent seats.

I did get to see them twice in the 90s so this one isn’t a grail event for me but I’m also not holding my breath that theyll be able to get along long enough for a US leg, much less finish the UK leg.
My thoughts exactly! The first open bar it could all be over rofl

Awesome, congrats. We actually had better luck than I could’ve imagined with the normal sale - got a spot in the 600’s in the queue for the first show in Cardiff and the first show in Manchester. Been on cloud nine all weekend. Never done the UK and literally couldn’t think of a better reason to finally hop across the pond. Have fun!
