Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?

Ummm… there's a new 11.5 oz denim? I don't know how this stuff gets by me considering how much time I spend here.

Sorry everyone, I'll get me coat.

One of the things that led me to Iron Heart years ago was my dismay over jeans that were made out of such lightweight fabric that they no longer felt like jeans should feel. 11.5 oz may be great for shirts and jackets, but I think that's a bit insubstantial for jeans.

doing a 711 cut in that fabric would be pretty cool.
maybe somebody else mentioned that already

[/quote]I mentioned it in the IHSH-140 thread:
I vote to use the denim for a 711 chino cut.

true that!

Could a chambray shacket be made without quilting? I would love a nice lightweight shacket for summer. Would there be enough substance there to keep it from looking like a shirt from Tender?

I don't necessarily disagree. 14 oz is most likely the lightest I'd be interested in, but if any brand can change my mind it's Iron Heart.

I realise Haraki-San's inspirations are primarily American and Japanese, but given there's undeniably some British DNA in the IH operation I think @Giles should try to explain the concept of the great British donkey jacket to Haraki. An IH donkey jacket in Melton Wool with a red flannel lining and leather shoulder/back patch would be the absolute dog's 'nads. @Danny RnH do you feel me?
