I’m the complete opposite. Brought up on blended scotch and then Islay single malt. My only experience with American whisky has been the unavoidable teenage flirt with Jack Daniels and Jim Bean (thanks for that Guns N Roses). I started learning about Japanese whisky when the price of Scotch single malt went through the roof.

Battle of Batida
3oz cachaca (I’m using a French caribbean white rhum)
3 oz coconut milk
1.5 lime juice
1 oz simple syrup
Blend with a half blender of ice -
@neph93 What happened to your post?
Sorry buddy… the desktop site didn't like my happy drunk face emoji My wife and I talk about our yearly couples trip regularly... I suggest NYC or Tokyo, she's big on Rome and Berlin. NYC freaked her out when we were there in 2014. She has some cognitive challenges that made Manhattan very difficult so is a little sceptical to going back. I'm working on it though

To be honest, I think I'd rather go to Rome or Berlin, too.

Wife and I celebrating30 years of marriage, will be headed to Italy/Rome in June.
I was in Rome for a week in December. By far one of my best trips. I also always enjoy Berlin. another fun city.

I don't know what would be new, but Tennessee whiskey or Bourbons with high wheat presence in the mashbill might work.
-
Bulliet bourbon might work. It’s one of my favorite for the price

@Yogi217 I have no idea as to where you’re located,or which bourbons you’ve tried, but this is one of the sweetest, smoothest most delicious bourbons I’ve had in a long time. It is in fact sourced from Tennessee, and has 84% corn in the mashbill, which gives it that sweetness. I paid $60 a bottle, seen it for as high as $86.

Thanks guys!
I'm 90 min north of NYC in CT.
@Sage954 Love Bulliet. Going to try the 10 year stuff soon.
@Jett129 I think they have that at my local shop. I'll try it if they do or see if they can order it for me if they don't have it stocked.
