My version of a julep. Homegrown mint, splash of simple syrup, too much Buffalo Trace, extra distortion pedal.

@WhiskeySandwich I’ve been doing something similar this past weekend,but using tequila,and some lime. Kind of like a tequila Mojito,which is also kind of like a Julep.

@ARNC I’ve been wanting to try that as it’s pretty reasonably priced in the states. My only hesitation has been the fact that it’s kind of on the young side.

@Jett129 you probably have access to more products than I do in the UK. Definitely worth a try - imho it’s better than the usual suspects for Manhattans. Want to try the Balboa at some point but will wait till it’s on offer!

My Million Dollar Mezcalita… I did’t have an orange and I think next time I’ll rim the glass with Sol de Gusano. Fortaleza Still Strength with Real Minero mezcal floated on the top with a lime squeezed in on the rocks @mclaincausey this would put an XHS smile on your face!

The tasting that I went to was at my new favorite liquor store. Awesome selection and competitive pricing. My new go-to. Planning on getting some more exotic bottles in the future but grabbed some good ones:

They’re in an old location with an iconic neon sign right next to beautiful downtown Golden. Just love this place.

When we head back to town we normally spend time to visit our friends in downtown Golden. Will have to visit it next time we're in town! Mostly I was wondering if it was mile high wine and spirits; a close buddy (Steve) of mine is the buyer there.
