WAYWT - Shoes/Boots Edition!
-
@UnTucked Guy came to Rivet and Hide in London today, there were 30 people who got to have the made to order service. I think they can do it if you email them too.
@neph93 there was only one last available for the engineer, which I am happy with anyway…so I went for the standard black chromexel leather, natural midsole, black leather heal stack rather than the natural stack, straight heal rather than the standard taper, and nickel Japanese roller buckles. Takes about 12 weeks to build apparently. Super excited now for their arrival.
Guy is such a nice bloke. He has a touch of Dave Grohl about him. All in all it was a great experience.

@Jim you've done again you SoB! Great looking boots and great shots…talking of summer boots, I've got my made to order fitting with Viberg today for a pair of engineer boots...in 28 degree heat...way to go!
Haha Thanks bro! Put up some shots of those Vibergs. They make some beautiful boots too.
@Stuart.THahaha! Just saw the pics above. They look very nice. Can’t wait to see how they wear in!
-
@Jim I wish I could have walked away with them yesterday but being MtO I've got to wait a good while for them to be built. They'll be a unique pair apparently due to my spec requirements. More pics later in the year!

Great picture again @Jim, that watch looks sweet.
Great shot of you there @Stuart.T and I love that Tee. I have the IH/Viberg Colab and love them, you will too.
@jay-cy those jeans look epic with those boots and the colour of the boots
@mikebarhoot I need a pair of these Scarpas. I was really interested in getting a pair of these a while back and that fell by the wayisde but you've relighted that fire in my belly. Damn you!
Keep up the good work you Cool Cats.

@Giles is probably the man to answer this but they are a walking/approach shoe and from what i've read very comfy.
-
I have a few colours in both the suede and the Fresh. The Mojito has been around for years and is considered an approach shoe. They are super comfy. I use the suede for most of my longish walks, and the Fresh (sans socks) on boats and beaches when I have to walk any distance on the shore or am on my feet all day casting.
I was put on to them about 5 years ago by Roger Hatt. If Roger recommends an item of clothing for its functional ability in the mountains, you listen.
My latest…..

@bryaneidins70 thanks, my sub.

Well. Gray and black scarpas were the only color options i could find in my size. There happens to be sporting goods store near one of my offices that carry them and so tried on the 46.5 and the 47 (us 12.5 and 13). From the get go the 12.5 fit like a glove and wore the gray pr out of the shop.
Dislike the stock laces so have used parachord instead.
Still super comfy and for 12-15hr days.

You should be able to order from them directly online. Make sure to print off the sizing guide and test it against your foot

That’s what I want to avoid… shipping, customs and taxes renders this too expensive...
The only EU Dealer they State on their Website is this one:
