I have only positive experience with montiuS as buyer, several transactions through paypal not a problem, communication was always good. Maybe some lost in translation in this case
thank you davito…
now just a little heads up...
first: the only thing that counts - the guy got his money back through paypal! so there is nothing to complain about!
i made two attempts with "Deutsche Post" to find the damn thing, even after the case was sold.of course it was insured, but the guys from DP said they only pay when they get feedback from the us carrier USPS.
3 weeks ago i got a confirmation saying the packet was delievered on FEB 19th!
so now i have no jeans and lost the money.
thanks...
Wait, so it appears that you got scammed by Jpie14?

I was able to work things out with @twism_23. I will buy from him again in the future.

Not much action in this thread for a while, that's got to be a good thing!
I just wanted to steer people away from dealing with David Davies from north west Wales, who goes by Dave28 on this forum.
I bought a pair of 634 OD from him, that were advertised as unworn and having a 34" inseam. After a payment and postage saga that was way longer than it needed to be, the jeans turned out to be evidently worn and washed (marbled from the washer), with a visible stain on the right knee and a 30.5" inseam.
I sent them back and he did make a "refund", though I took a (massive, $55, 15%+) hit on the exchange rate in the meantime, to which he said "tough shit". This was after he looked at the jeans he sent me and realised how careless he'd been in describing the jeans he'd had on sale for several months.
I can provide photos of the jeans and screenshots of the relevant ad and messages between the two of us. I don't recommend anyone deals with this man.

I recently purchased (or thought I did) some items from @Akuma no uta in this thread:

Four weeks later, I have not received anything, and he is not responding to my PMs. I am not happy.

@Cole ?

This is being looked into behind the scenes for all involved parties.

I also thought I had bought from @Akuma no uta .Didn't receive the item and no replies to pm.
Have opened a dispute with PayPal -

Have opened a dispute with PayPalThen you have been intelligent enough to pay the normal way and not friends & family as I did. ::)

Open a dispute either way…
I paid F/F too @Cole - maybe we can still salvage this all somehow yet. I’m on holiday right now so I won’t have much time to deal with this for about a week yet, let me know how the dispute with PayPal goes for you.

truth, I have had to jump through a bunch of hoops for a personal payment but was eventually refunded.Print out all transaction details so you can refer to them and call. my email requests got zero responses.

We have banned @Akuma no uta (Ian Wagner). We tried hard to get him to meet his obligations. I even got a fellow member and friend of Ian's to try and get him to do the right thing. Ian said that he would sort it and then nothing happened.
Whilst transaction in the marketplace are transactions between 2 parties and we have nothing to do with that other than provide the wherewithal for the communications, we do feel bad that an Iron Heart member has ripped off other members.
We will not tolerate this behaviour.
Good riddance.

I have found PayPal to be more than reasonable in these instances…hoping that transfers to those who were ripped off.
This situation is absolutely mind boggling to me and beyond ridiculous, especially given that my experience of our community here is fairly tight knit and there is a level of mutual respect (for the most part) between forum memebers.
That being said, for newer members, I would like to say this is by far the exception rather than the rule. I have been a buyer and seller in numerous transactions here and found the many forum members I have dealt with to be honest, fair, and always honorable.
I appreciate the IH Crew and Mods handling this situation in the manner they have and with the appropriate level of severe consequence. Thank you for helping keep our community and it’s members at the high standard it deserves to be held to.

This kinda crap boggles my mind. I can't fathom why someone would deliberately deceive and steal from others who made a good faith payment for clothing. sorry you guys got duped

Seems even more mental when it is someone who seemed to be a regular doing the scamming.
