I’d disagree with that; smothered burritos are different. For starters, flour versus corn tortillas. In fact my favorite style of enchiladas (from the north of your state Matt) is just stacks of corn tortillas with some kind of stew like adobada between them, no wrapping of any kind. You could call that lasagna if you wanted.
I like my burgers simple too. Save the fancy burgers. Dill pickles, grilled onions, mustard (or gold sauce), and cheese for me please. I can appreciate fancy burgers but they always disappoint relative to a white trash griddled burger.

@seawolf @Mizmazzle And no beans or rice inside the burrito.
*Unless they’re refried beans.

Not sure I’ve ever had one of these.

@mclaincausey Next time you're in town, I'll take you to the best place for a killer simple burger. They only have 5 things on their menu. Hamburger, 1/3 lb and 1/2 pound. Cheeseburger, 1/3 and 1/2 pound, and fries. Cash only. Great local beer and some wine. That's it. I've been going there for 10-1/2 years (luckily it's walking distance from my house) and it's always consistently amazing. https://rockyburgers.com

@Danimal506 You, sir, know what the hell you're talking about!!
Carne, guac, pico, y ya!! (I will add refried beans from time to time because I love them so!)

@mclaincausey I didn’t know tortillas were from Maryland .
Agreed on the simple food. Roast knuckle of pork with potato dumplings? Yes please!
-
@Tago-Mago Two of those 11.5% beers do not count as two beers.
-
@Mizmazzle Hell yea brother!
My happy place is a California burrito:
Carne, French fries or potatoes, cheese and sour cream.
Some people do pico and guacamole, I’m allergic to avocado and can’t do cilantro.@goosehd 12oz is 12oz!!! Hahaha

@Danimal506 ...there are some breathalyzer machines that would debate that point...

@Tago-Mago more blue crabs out that way.
His *current state of residence, New Mexico, has some of my favorite regional cuisine in the States, especially in the north of the state. Simple and delicious. Stacked blue corn adobada enchiladas and Hatch chile stew changed my life.

@mclaincausey he moved back to Maryland...

Oh yeah missed that! The mountain west forum contingency lost a good ‘un b

Speaking of Maryland and blue crabs, this may be an unpopular opinion: Chesapeake blue crabs is the #1 national seafood dish, and Old Bay is a better condiment that ketchup.
