John Lofgren (Speedway)

Ha we both did that at the same time, I've asked the mods to delete mine, here's what I was saying over there in the duplicate thread:
Truth told lofgrens are my grail… As much as I love the RCs deoendingbon hiw these fit I may put the RCs up with the fresh resole if another production run starts and I'm able to get a badalassi or brown.... I just really have preference for the 50s style... Especially johns iteration of it.
That said we should probably strt a lofgren thread so we don't derail this too much and irritate anyone.
I love my RCs too and will keep them, but I think Lofgrens are as pretty as boots come. I had been looking at Lone Wolf, McCoys (Buco and Chippewa), those custom Wescos you grabbed, and others for my black engineers and I just couldn't stop looking at the Lofgrens longingly. Should have pulled the trigger sooner, these have been the apple of my eye for some time…

Agreed, I like the wescos for the black fire leather and think they might be a bit more rugged than the lofgrens so my thinking was that they will serve a great looking purpose in the winter and bad weather as well as allowing be to keep one boot a solid black for a more "dress" look I suppose. I can't wait to get my lofgrens looking like VEB's.

If you wouldn't kind snowy that would be great!
-
Thanks again homie.
-
Awesome Snowy, thanks! Continuing to be a great mod

Someone just ordered the last black size 11,5 @ Speedway shop so I guess I'll have to wait for the next run, bummer…
what's your size in your latest Viberg Boots mate?…
UK10,5 D which makes sense as I measure a US11,5 D on a brannock device the consensus on the Lofgren engineers seems to be to go tts, so it could be the safest bet, but there's always some exceptions to disprove the rule so it seems… Let's see what Tat and Mac's experience will teach us...

I've seen a couple of posts on other forums that also support TTS. A dude that was a UK8 wore a US9 perfectly, I think a couple of others. I (and no doubt Tatman) will of course rush to get fit information up here ASAP.

Absolutely fellas as soon as I know you will. Just keep in kind my foot is narrow, this is one of the biggest determining factors in engineers as wider feet tend to stay out in the front if the boot while narrow feet tend to slip out a little easier creating more heel slip.
-
thanks for the answer Tom!
you guys really making it hard as feck to find my way into the world of engineer boots though and what pair to get as "the first" (angry in a positive way that is!)
White's, Viberg, Wesco, Lofgren, Mister Freedom…god damn it ain't easy! ^^

the review of the boot from vintageengineerboots:

You all are killing me. I am keen to jump in on some Engineers, and now my head is swimming. White's, MF, Wesos and now JL&Co!?!? But need to get the sizing sorted out. I'm 12.5 in White's. I wonder if I could manage a 12 in the RCs or Lofgrens. Have to see what some folks who have them say.

Love this shot too:
