IH-634-UHR - Ultra Heavy - Straight Cut Jean

@Seul must be having a stroke right about now….

I'm practically having a stroke just laughing about it.

They became my Kindergarten pair in the last couple of months. They got some stains, so I washed em for the first time since I got em. Washed em inside out 40C and some of the stains are still there, but nothing hardcore.
They did not shrink that much in length, so they still need another hem job… -
Being a recent purchase from; IH Forum » The Marketplace » Buying and Selling, I made the decision to give my, new to me, IH-634-UHR's a hot soak to be followed by a line dry. This being the first pair of jeans I've soaked in the bath of our new place, @Black Orchid's only comments were "I hope you don't stain the bloody bath tub"
Phew…I didn't stain the bath tub. Hung the 634's out to air dry on the line.

Hey forum friends. I need some advice on this fit. It's pre-soak and I'm just unsure if it's how it should be or if I should go down one? They are tagged 33 which is usual in IH for me fwiw.
I've worked the numbers compared to my current pairs and these should be ok post soak. But I'd just like a second opinion before I start shrinking them down.
Thanks in advance -
If you think the waist will be perfect post soak then I think you are good to go @mahlon321. Of course it all depends on how you like your jeans to fit as well, but I think you should be good.

I want a pair of these very badly btw.

Hi @mahlon321
I think the jeans look a tiny bit large in the front and back shots. But with shrinkage I expect it will look much better.
The side shot of the jeans makes them look spot on. Personally, I'd keep that especially if you say the waist fits perfectly.

Thanks for your input and help @NorthernVictory, @manufc10 and @Giles. I appreciate it.
I laid out my best fitting pair (634s-b's in tagged 32 which have stretched slightly with wear) over top of these just now and other than length, and a tiny bit of rise, the UHR's are roughly only a 1/4" wider on each of the outside edges.
Which leads me to believe that it's just this bonkers heavy denim trying to stand on it's own with me in them and making the weird bulges in the front and rear.
I reckon a good hot soak/wash should hopefully sort most of the excess bulging, am I crazy??

They'll look better with wear and after a soak, but I really like the fit already.

Hello all, first post here.
I just wanted to share my experience today at the Amsterdam airport. I always make sure to not have anything metal on me when travelling in order to speed the process of the security check as much as possible, and this time was no exception. They have a body scanner in AMS instead of just metal detectors, and it detected something in my right pocket and both ankles. A security person came to search me. After a thorough search he told me to wait, and another security guy, who looked more senior came to perform a second search. After the insulting, in my opinion, question "May I search you, sir" (given that I don't really have a choice). He searched me and asked: "What happened to your jeans?" and I answered, naturally, "Nothing, it's just a heavy pair of jeans" and I showed him the patch. He asked me if I wear something other than underpants beneath it, then asked me all sorts of questions, from where did I get them, how much they cost why did I want so heavy jeans, what is the actual weight, where I was from, what I was doing in Amsterdam and if I had the hotel reservation papers with me. All these didn't convince him, obviously, since he took me behind a curtain and asked me to take it off. I told him this is humiliating but I couldn't really do something so I unbuttonned my fly. He inspected the fly a bit more and fortunately didn't ask me to remove the pants completely. "I work here eleven years, I haven't seen fabric like this" he said and finally gave up. He pulled the curtain away and gave me the OK to pass "Your bags are over there".
"Do you understand why we searched you?" he asked a few moments later. I was frustrated beyond words by that time and I responded affirmatively so that the incident would end as soon as possible, but he insisted. "It is important to understand why we searched you". "Yes" I replied again, thinking George Orwell would be amused.

@Max:

I agree with Max and your own theory. These will look fine once hot soaked and broken in!
Yep, I'm tending to agree, the more I look at the pics. Once the length is gone and they've come in at the waist and sides. It will all be good. Thanks again forum folks
Pics to follow!
