Viberg

It's a bit risky to hazard a guess on sizing, but I'm a 9.5D in American sizing and am an 8.5 in Viberg's 2030 last, so for me it is a full size down from what I would likely wear in Wesco or Alden. Good luck @scarfmace !
@the246guy here's what works for me. To clarify I'm 9.5D on Brannock and 8.5 in Viberg 2030

I have the SOP AG side zip Vibergs and I'm pretty sure it's on a 2030.
I wear a 13 in most sneakers and followed my usual rule of thumb for Red Wing / Lofgrens etc got a 12 — they fit but are snug, no thick socks for me. But I will say that my feet are on the bigger end of 13 — I frequently run into the problem of some 13s being too short, and I have to buy a 14 if I buy something like running shoes that need a real proper fit.

@Nkwkfld:
Did you go for any

I wouldn't be surprised if a few vibergs start popping up on resale sites over the next few days with the no returns. Fingers crossed mine work out

@Nkwkfld "fingers crossed"

Natural chromexcel waxed flesh on the 2045 last arrived today. Tried on the burlap foot patrol boots at IHUK when I was there a couple days ago, and I prefer those, but it's becoming clear that lasts that taper to the toe do not work for my feet. So was hoping that these wide and high toe Vibergs might work. They feel pretty good out of the box, with enough room to wiggle toes around. There does though seem to be some room just below the laces, so that the leather seems to be creasing/bulging around the ball of my foot. Wonder if people have experience with this kind of room causing any issues down the line? Am wearing thin socks, so that could help, but also these are cxl so are likely to stretch a lot. Thoughts appreciated.

Can’t say for sure what yours are, but the side zips are commonly on the 2050 last. A lot of people go half size up from 2030 on the 2050 last.
For reference, I’m a 9 Brannock. Usually a US 9.5 in most sneakers. I wear an 8 in the 2030 and an 8.5 in the 2050.

Any ideas on how to size these 2030 service boots? I'm US size 10 on Red wing and a US 10.5 on Truman's. I'm in need for a spare boots and this time around I'm considering getting the Viberg.
The 2030 last is pretty generous, more E than D (much to my liking), and the advice to go one full size down from Brannock has served me well. Viberg sizes "British", so go once size down. If you are a 10 on the Brannock I would order Viberg 9. Best to use the Brannock method imo.

A new pick up from the good people at Rivet and Hide. A pair of Viberg Derby shoes. First pair of Viberg shoes as opposed to boots but they are built on the 2030 last which I know well so sizing was easy. Camel Oiled calf leather. They work really well especially with non turned up jeans or chino style trousers.

If you go back into my posts in this thread you can see that these shoes used to be agonizing to wear. But I have been wearing them in the fall and winter since 2018 and they are now the most comfortable shoes I own. The only thing I have that's more comfortable are my Rainbow flip flops. They are even more comfortable than my New Balance or Birkenstocks. I almost can't believe it.

Man @Filthy I've been having a similar experience with my SOP AG Side Zips — they weren't agonizing, but they definitely always felt a little too small, so I didn't give them a ton of wear. For whatever reason I just decided to power through recently and they've really ended up getting super comfortable. Kinda wild, wasn't expecting it at all!
I'll take some pics tomorrow in better light. I love the texture of those, really sick!

Forum members with UK size 10 or 11 feet may be interested in this Viberg sample sale:
https://www.marrkt.com/collections/viberg-sale-may-2022
(Marrkt is a second hand and surplus stock retailer in the UK. I've bought both used and new items from them in the past. These boots are apparently all former display samples - hence all the same size - so wear should be try-on only, if any.)

Does anyone have experience with Viberg's 110 last? I've seen a pair of chukkas built on it, and I want to confirm how it fits before I commit.
My understanding is that people tend to take their usual Viberg size, or even half a size down from the 2030, but that it's more voluminous. I've got a pair of boots on the 2030 which are fine in terms of fit, but a bit tight in the toes, so I'm guessing that the 110 should work in my usual size.
Of course, being a 13 means that I'm a special order, so I can't try them on beforehand.

Wish I had seen this back in May. If you get info on another sample sale please share!
Anyone know if there’s still a way to convince someone at Viberg to accept an MTO order?

Having some renovation work done on the house. Not a single thing I own is not covered in a layer of dust. Spent the afternoon cleaning off the Viberg collection.

you sound like youre in the same boat as me, my first pair of vibergs i ordered 13's, and they are a bit to big. but i can live.
my second pair are 12.5's and they are bang on.
of course those were both ordered back when you could still order custom boots -
@natehate Your cobbler looks to have done a really good with your boots. Always a nervous wait while your quality hand made boots are shipped off for the equivalent of open heart surgery. Glad it worked out well for you.
